<p class="bodytext">When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, the people answered the king, &#8220;We have no portion in David, no share in the son of Jesse!<n id="1" /> Return to your homes, O Israel!<n id="2" /> Now, look after your own dynasty, O David!&#8221;<n id="3" /> So Israel returned to their homes.<n id="4" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">The people of Judah and Israel were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore; they had plenty to eat and drink and were happy.

I will select<n id="1" /> you; you will rule over all you desire to have and you will be king over Israel.

Solomon ruled over all Israel from Jerusalem<n id="1" /> for forty years.

Omri and all Israel went up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.

When Ahab saw Elijah, he<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;Is it really you, the one who brings disaster<n id="2" /> on Israel?&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Ahab sent messengers to all the Israelites and had the prophets assemble at Mount Carmel.

The king of Israel replied, &#8220;It is just as you say, my master, O king. I and all I own belong to you.&#8221;p>
