<p class="bodytext">Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the <sc>Lordsc> filled the tabernacle.

But when the cloud was lifted up<n id="1" /> from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out<n id="2" /> on all their journeys;

but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up.<n id="1" />

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony.<n id="2" />

So the Israelites set out<n id="1" /> on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paran.p>

And the <sc>Lordsc> came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.p>

Once the priests left the holy place, a cloud filled the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple.

<p class="poetry">He spoke to them from a pillar of cloud;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">they obeyed his regulations and the ordinance he gave them.p>

<p class="poetry">I remove the guilt of your rebellious deeds as if they were a cloud,p> <p class="poetry">the guilt of your sins as if they were a cloud.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Come back to me, for I protect<n id="2" /> you.&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">Look! The enemy is approaching like gathering clouds.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">The roar of his chariots is like that of a whirlwind.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">His horses move more swiftly than eagles.&#8221;p> <p class="poetry">I cry out,<n id="3" /> &#8220;We are doomed,<n id="4" /> for we will be destroyed!&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">(The cherubim were standing on the south side<n id="1" /> of the temple when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court.)

<p class="poetry">For the day is near,p> <p class="poetry">the day of the <sc>Lordsc> is near;p> <p class="poetry">it will be a day of storm clouds,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">it will be a time of judgment<n id="2" /> for the nations.p>

<p class="poetry">Therefore they will disappear like<n id="1" /> the morning mist,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">like early morning dew that evaporates,<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">like chaff that is blown away<n id="4" /> from a threshing floor,p> <p class="poetry">like smoke that disappears through an open window.p>

Whenever the cloud was taken up<n id="1" /> from the tabernacle, then after that the Israelites would begin their journey; and in whatever place<n id="2" /> the cloud settled, there the Israelites would make camp.

then they will tell it to the inhabitants<n id="1" /> of this land. They have heard that you, <sc>Lordsc>, are among this people, that you, <sc>Lord,sc> are seen face to face,<n id="2" /> that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them by day in a pillar of cloud and in a pillar of fire by night.

When the rainbow is in the clouds, I will notice it and remember<n id="1" /> the perpetual covenant between God and all living creatures of all kinds that are on the earth.&#8221; p>

Now the <sc>Lordsc> was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light,<n id="1" /> so that they could<n id="2" /> travel day or night.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">The angel of God, who was going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them, and the pillar<n id="1" /> of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

In the morning watch<n id="1" /> the <sc>Lordsc> looked down<n id="2" /> on the Egyptian army<n id="3" /> through the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw the Egyptian army<n id="4" /> into a panic.<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">As Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> in the cloud,
