<p class="bodytext">The house of Israel<n id="1" /> called its name &#8220;manna.&#8221;<n id="2" /> It was like coriander seed and was white, and it tasted<n id="3" /> like wafers with honey.p>

<p class="bodytext">Moses<n id="1" /> went up to God, and the <sc>Lordsc> called to him from the mountain, &#8220;Thus you will tell the house of Jacob, and declare to the people<n id="2" /> of Israel:

<p class="bodytext">So Moses came and summoned the elders of Israel. He set before them all these words that the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded him,

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> came down on Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain, and the <sc>Lordsc> summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

He took the Book of the Covenant<n id="1" /> and read it aloud<n id="2" /> to the people, and they said, &#8220;We are willing to do and obey<n id="3" /> all that the <sc>Lordsc> has spoken.&#8221;

The glory of the <sc>Lordsc> resided<n id="1" /> on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days.<n id="2" /> On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.

The <sc>Lordsc> passed by before him and proclaimed:<n id="1" /> &#8220;The <sc>Lordsc>, the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="2" /> the compassionate and gracious<n id="3" /> God, slow to anger,<n id="4" /> and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,<n id="5" />

Be careful<n id="1" /> not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when<n id="2" /> they prostitute themselves<n id="3" /> to their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone invites you,<n id="4" /> you will eat from his sacrifice;

<p class="bodytext">Moses said to the Israelites, &#8220;See, the <sc>Lordsc> has chosen<n id="1" /> Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

Pharaoh<n id="1" /> summoned Moses and Aaron in the night and said, &#8220;Get up, get out<n id="2" /> from among my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, serve the <sc>Lordsc> as you have requested!<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">He called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the Israelites and because of their testing the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="1" /> saying, &#8220;Is the <sc>Lordsc> among us or not?&#8221;p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Moses took<n id="2" /> the tent<n id="3" /> and pitched it outside the camp, at a good distance<n id="4" /> from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. Anyone<n id="5" /> seeking<n id="6" /> the <sc>Lordsc> would go out to the tent of meeting that was outside the camp.p>

<p class="bodytext">And the <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> said, &#8220;I will make all my goodness<n id="2" /> pass before your face, and I will proclaim the <sc>Lordsc> by name<n id="3" /> before you; I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy.&#8221;<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Moses summoned<n id="1" /> Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom<n id="2" /> the <sc>Lordsc> had put skill &#8211; everyone whose heart stirred him<n id="3" /> to volunteer<n id="4" /> to do the work,
