<p class="bodytext">Jehoram<n id="1" /> received this letter from Elijah the prophet: &#8220;This is what the <sc>Lordsc> God of your ancestor David says: &#8216;You<n id="2" /> have not followed in the footsteps<n id="3" /> of your father Jehoshaphat and of<n id="4" /> King Asa of Judah,

<t /><p class="bodytext">The residents of Jerusalem<n id="1" /> made his youngest son Ahaziah king in his place, for the raiding party that invaded the city with the Arabs had killed all the older sons.<n id="2" /> So Ahaziah son of Jehoram became king of Judah.

Uzziah passed away<n id="1" /> and was buried near his ancestors<n id="2" /> in a cemetery<n id="3" /> belonging to the kings. (This was because he had a skin disease.)<n id="4" /> His son Jotham replaced him as king.p>

Hezekiah passed away<n id="1" /> and was buried on the ascent of the tombs of the descendants of David. All the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem buried him with great honor.<n id="2" /> His son Manasseh replaced him as king.p>
