<t /><p class="bodytext">So here is what the <sc>Lordsc> has to say about Israel and Judah.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="bodytext">The prophet Jeremiah told all this to King Zedekiah of Judah in Jerusalem.

Then Jeremiah said to Seraiah, &#8220;When you arrive in Babylon, make sure<n id="1" /> you read aloud all these prophecies.<n id="2" />

He said, &#8220;Go, Daniel. For these matters are closed and sealed until the time of the end.

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Write down<n id="1" /> these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.&#8221;

When they had heard it all,<n id="1" /> they expressed their alarm to one another.<n id="2" /> Then they said to Baruch, &#8220;We must certainly give the king a report about everything you have read!&#8221;<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Early in the morning<n id="1" /> Abimelech summoned<n id="2" /> all his servants. When he told them about all these things,<n id="3" /> they<n id="4" /> were terrified.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Some time after these things God tested<n id="1" /> Abraham. He said to him, &#8220;Abraham!&#8221; &#8220;Here I am!&#8221; Abraham<n id="2" /> replied.

<p class="bodytext">After these things Abraham was told, &#8220;Milcah<n id="1" /> also has borne children to your brother Nahor &#8211;

Soon after these things, his master&#8217;s wife took notice of<n id="1" /> Joseph and said, &#8220;Have sex with me.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">After these things Joseph was told,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Your father is weakening.&#8221; So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;So you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And as for me, I will be with your mouth<n id="1" /> and with his mouth,<n id="2" /> and I will teach you both<n id="3" /> what you must do.<n id="4" />

Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> all the words that the <sc>Lordsc> had spoken to Moses and did the signs in the sight of the people,

Now listen to me,<n id="1" /> I will give you advice, and may God be with you: You be a representative for the people to God,<n id="2" /> and you bring<n id="3" /> their disputes<n id="4" /> to God;

and you will be to me<n id="1" /> a kingdom of priests<n id="2" /> and a holy nation.&#8217;<n id="3" /> These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">So Moses came and summoned the elders of Israel. He set before them all these words that the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded him,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Moses assembled the whole community of the Israelites and said to them, &#8220;These are the things that the <sc>Lordsc> has commanded you to do.<n id="1" />

The Amorite inhabitants of that area<n id="1" /> confronted<n id="2" /> you and chased you like a swarm of bees, striking you down from Seir as far as Hormah.<n id="3" />

And he revealed to you the covenant<n id="1" /> he has commanded you to keep, the ten commandments,<n id="2" /> writing them on two stone tablets.

In your distress when all these things happen to you in the latter days,<n id="1" /> if you return to the <sc>Lordsc> your God and obey him<n id="2" />
