But Moses called to them, so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and Moses spoke to them.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You are to bring<n id="1" /> Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.

Then you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments and anoint him and sanctify him so that he may minister as my priest.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You are to put the Urim and the Thummim<n id="1" /> into the breastpiece of decision; and they are to be over Aaron&#8217;s heart when he goes in before the <sc>Lordsc>. Aaron is to bear the decisions<n id="2" /> of the Israelites over his heart before the <sc>Lordsc> continually.p>

It will be on Aaron&#8217;s forehead, and Aaron will bear the iniquity of the holy things,<n id="1" /> which the Israelites are to sanctify by all their holy gifts;<n id="2" /> it will always be on his forehead, for their acceptance<n id="3" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>.

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said<n id="1" /> to Aaron, &#8220;Go to the wilderness to meet Moses. So he went and met him at the mountain of God<n id="2" /> and greeted him with a kiss.<n id="3" />

Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> all the words that the <sc>Lordsc> had spoken to Moses and did the signs in the sight of the people,

<p class="bodytext">Now Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel and she bore him Phinehas.p> <p class="bodytext">These are the heads of the fathers&#8217; households<n id="1" /> of Levi according to their clans.p>

<p class="bodytext">It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the <sc>Lordsc> said, &#8220;Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their regiments.&#8221;<n id="1" />

So Aaron extended his hand over the waters of Egypt, and frogs<n id="1" /> came up and covered the land of Egypt.p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses and Aaron, &#8220;Take handfuls of soot<n id="2" /> from a furnace, and have Moses throw it<n id="3" /> into the air while Pharaoh is watching.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said to them, &#8220;Go, serve the <sc>Lordsc> your God. Exactly who is going with you?&#8221;<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">So all the Israelites did exactly as the <sc>Lordsc> commanded Moses and Aaron.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a hand-drum in her hand, and all the women went out after her with hand-drums and with dances.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">Then Moses said to Aaron, &#8220;Tell the whole community<n id="1" /> of the Israelites, &#8216;Come<n id="2" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>, because he has heard your murmurings.&#8217;&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">As Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> in the cloud,

Moses said to Aaron, &#8220;Take a jar and put in it an omer full of manna, and place it before the <sc>Lordsc> to be kept for generations to come.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">So Joshua fought against Amalek just as Moses had instructed him;<n id="1" />and Moses and Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

You<n id="1" /> are to speak to all who are specially skilled,<n id="2" /> whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom,<n id="3" /> so that they may make<n id="4" /> Aaron&#8217;s garments to set him apart<n id="5" /> to minister as my priest.

Aaron will bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of decision over his heart<n id="1" /> when he goes into the holy place, for a memorial before the <sc>Lordsc> continually.p>
