So the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse ¹  to obey my commandments and my instructions?

¹ “These are the decisions that you will set before them:

“You are to put it in front of the curtain that is before the ark of the testimony (before the atonement lid that is over the testimony), where I will meet you.

“With it you are to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony,

the ark of the testimony and its poles, and the atonement lid;

He cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him ¹  a tree. ²  When Moses ³  threw it into the water, the water became safe to drink. There the Lord ⁴  made for them ⁵  a binding ordinance, ⁶  and there he tested ⁷  them.

Moses came ¹  and told the people all the Lord’s words ²  and all the decisions. All the people answered together, ³  “We are willing to do ⁴  all the words that the Lord has said,”

¹ The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may ²  share in eating it. ³ 

and showing covenant faithfulness ¹  to a thousand generations ²  of those who love me and keep my commandments.

If the ox ¹  gores a son or a daughter, the owner ²  will be dealt with according to this rule. ³ 

You are to put the atonement lid on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.

the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, the atonement lid that is on it, all the furnishings ¹  of the tent,

You are to place the ark of the testimony in it and shield the ark with the special curtain.

He said, “If you will diligently obey ¹  the Lord your God, and do what is right ²  in his sight, and pay attention ³  to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, then all ⁴  the diseases ⁵  that I brought on the Egyptians I will not bring on you, for I, the Lord, am your healer.” ⁶ 

they must wash ¹  their hands and their feet so that they do not die. And this ²  will be a perpetual ordinance for them and for their descendants ³  throughout their generations.” ⁴ 

He gave Moses two tablets of testimony when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, tablets of stone written by the finger of God. ¹ 

You are to put ¹  the gold altar for incense in front of the ark of the testimony and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

He took the testimony and put it in the ark, attached the poles to the ark, and then put the atonement lid on the ark.

He took the Book of the Covenant ¹  and read it aloud ²  to the people, and they said, “We are willing to do and obey ³  all that the Lord has spoken.”

So Moses took the blood and splashed it on ¹  the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant ²  that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
