since you are encountering ¹  the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing. ² 

And in the same way you also should be glad and rejoice together with me.

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

I want you to know, brothers and sisters, ¹  that my situation has actually turned out to advance the gospel: ² 

¹ who though he existed in the form of God ²  did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

My confident hope ¹  is that I will in no way be ashamed ²  but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die. ³ 

From Paul ¹  and Timothy, slaves ²  of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, ³  with the overseers ⁴  and deacons.

The ¹  whole imperial guard ²  and everyone else knows ³  that I am in prison ⁴  for the sake of Christ,

I feel torn between the two, ¹  because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,

Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, they exult in their shame, and they think about earthly things. ¹ 

And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds ¹  in Christ Jesus.

who will transform these humble bodies of ours ¹  into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.

Only conduct yourselves ¹  in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that – whether I come and see you or whether I remain absent – I should hear that ²  you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, by contending side by side for the faith of the gospel, ³ 

Finally, brothers and sisters, ¹  whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.
