If<n id="1" /> then<n id="2" /> your whole body is full of light, with no part in the dark,<n id="3" /> it will be as full of light as when the light of a lamp shines on you.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief<n id="1" /> was coming, he would not have let<n id="2" /> his house be broken into.

Or what king, going out to confront another king in battle, will not sit down<n id="1" /> first and determine whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose<n id="2" /> the one coming against him with twenty thousand?

So<n id="1" /> the Lord replied,<n id="2" /> &#8220;If<n id="3" /> you had faith the size of<n id="4" /> a mustard seed, you could say to this black mulberry<n id="5" /> tree, &#8216;Be pulled out by the roots and planted in the sea,&#8217;<n id="6" /> and it would obey<n id="7" /> you.p>

But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, &#8220;Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give<n id="1" /> to the poor, and if<n id="2" /> I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!&#8221;

The people also stood there watching, but the rulers ridiculed<n id="1" /> him, saying, &#8220;He saved others. Let him save<n id="2" /> himself if<n id="3" /> he is the Christ<n id="4" /> of God, his chosen one!&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Then they began asking<n id="1" /> him, &#8220;Who is your father?&#8221; Jesus answered, &#8220;You do not know either me or my Father. If you knew me you would know my Father too.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">They answered him,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Abraham is our father!&#8221;<n id="2" /> Jesus replied,<n id="3" /> &#8220;If you are<n id="4" /> Abraham&#8217;s children, you would be doing<n id="5" /> the deeds of Abraham.

Jesus replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here.<n id="2" /> I<n id="3" /> have not come on my own initiative,<n id="4" /> but he<n id="5" /> sent me.

The Jewish leaders<n id="1" /> surrounded him and asked,<n id="2" /> &#8220;How long will you keep us in suspense?<n id="3" /> If you are the Christ,<n id="4" /> tell us plainly.&#8221;<n id="5" />

But if I do them, even if you do not believe me, believe the deeds,<n id="1" /> so that you may come to know<n id="2" /> and understand that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Now when Mary came to the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said to him, &#8220;Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.&#8221;

Jesus replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;The one who has bathed needs only to wash his feet,<n id="2" /> but is completely<n id="3" /> clean.<n id="4" /> And you disciples<n id="5" /> are clean, but not every one of you.&#8221;

You heard me say to you,<n id="1" /> &#8216;I am going away and I am coming back to you.&#8217; If you loved me, you would be glad<n id="2" /> that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.<n id="3" />

If you belonged to the world,<n id="1" /> the world would love you as its own.<n id="2" /> However, because you do not belong to the world,<n id="3" /> but I chose you out of the world, for this reason<n id="4" /> the world hates you.<n id="5" />

If I had not performed<n id="1" /> among them the miraculous deeds<n id="2" /> that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin.<n id="3" /> But now they have seen the deeds<n id="4" /> and have hated both me and my Father.<n id="5" />

When I was with them I kept them safe<n id="1" /> and watched over them<n id="2" /> in your name<n id="3" /> that you have given me. Not one<n id="4" /> of them was lost except the one destined for destruction,<n id="5" /> so that the scripture could be fulfilled.<n id="6" />

Jesus replied, &#8220;You would have no authority<n id="1" /> over me at all, unless it was given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you<n id="2" /> is guilty of greater sin.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then they<n id="1" /> shouted out, &#8220;Away with him! Away with him!<n id="2" /> Crucify<n id="3" /> him!&#8221; Pilate asked,<n id="4" /> &#8220;Shall I crucify your king?&#8221; The high priests replied, &#8220;We have no king except Caesar!&#8221;

Therefore if God<n id="1" /> gave them the same gift<n id="2" /> as he also gave us after believing<n id="3" /> in the Lord Jesus Christ,<n id="4" /> who was I to hinder<n id="5" /> God?&#8221;
