<p class="poetry">(But there is one who made the constellations Pleiades and Orion;p> <p class="poetry">he can turn the darkness into morningp> <p class="poetry">and daylight<n id="1" /> into night.p> <p class="poetry">He summons the water of the seasp> <p class="poetry">and pours it out on the earth&#8217;s surface.p> <p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> is his name!p>

<p class="poetry">He builds the upper rooms of his palace<n id="1" /> in heavenp> <p class="poetry">and sets its foundation supports<n id="2" /> on the earth.<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">He summons the water of the seap> <p class="poetry">and pours it out on the earth&#8217;s surface.p> <p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> is his name.p>

<t /><p class="poetry">You are no more secure<n id="1" /> than Thebes<n id="2" /> &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">she was located on the banks of the Nile;p> <p class="poetry">the waters surrounded her,p> <p class="poetry">her<n id="3" /> rampart<n id="4" /> was the sea,p> <p class="poetry">the water<n id="5" /> was her wall.p>

Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem,<n id="1" /> half of them to the eastern sea<n id="2" /> and half of them to the western sea;<n id="3" /> it will happen both in summer and in winter.p>

Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Tell Aaron, &#8216;Take your staff and stretch out your hand over Egypt&#8217;s waters &#8211; over their rivers, over their canals,<n id="1" /> over their ponds, and over all their reservoirs<n id="2" /> &#8211; so that it becomes<n id="3" /> blood.&#8217; There will be blood everywhere in<n id="4" /> the land of Egypt, even in wooden and stone containers.&#8221;

God created the great sea creatures<n id="1" /> and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.

<p class="bodytext">But God remembered<n id="1" /> Noah and all the wild animals and domestic animals that were with him in the ark. God caused a wind to blow over<n id="2" /> the earth and the waters receded.

The dove could not find a resting place for its feet because water still covered<n id="1" /> the surface of the entire earth, and so it returned to Noah<n id="2" /> in the ark. He stretched out his hand, took the dove,<n id="3" /> and brought it back into the ark.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">In Noah&#8217;s six hundred and first year,<n id="1" /> in the first day of the first month, the waters had dried up from the earth, and Noah removed the covering from the ark and saw that<n id="2" /> the surface of the ground was dry.

then I will remember my covenant with you<n id="1" /> and with all living creatures of all kinds.<n id="2" /> Never again will the waters become a flood and destroy<n id="3" /> all living things.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Early in the morning Abraham took<n id="1" /> some food<n id="2" /> and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. Isaac reopened<n id="1" /> the wells that had been dug<n id="2" /> back in the days of his father Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up<n id="3" /> after Abraham died. Isaac<n id="4" /> gave these wells<n id="5" /> the same names his father had given them.<n id="6" />p>

Thus says the <sc>Lordsc>: &#8220;By this you will know that I am the <sc>Lordsc>: I am going to strike<n id="1" /> the water of the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned into blood.<n id="2" />

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> said to Moses, &#8220;Get up early in the morning and position yourself before Pharaoh as he goes out to the water, and tell him, &#8216;Thus says the <sc>Lordsc>, &#8220;Release my people that they may serve me!

Moses stretched out his hand toward the sea, and the <sc>Lordsc> drove the sea apart<n id="1" /> by a strong east wind all that night, and he made the sea into dry land, and the water was divided.

<p class="poetry">For the horses of Pharaoh came with his chariots and his footmen into the sea,p> <p class="poetry">and the <sc>Lordsc> brought back the waters of the sea on them,p> <p class="poetry">but the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.&#8221;p>
