So prophesy and say: &#8216;This is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Surely because they have made you desolate and crushed you from all directions, so that you have become the property of the rest of the nations, and have become the subject of gossip<n id="1" /> and slander among the people,

therefore this is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Surely I have spoken in the fire of my zeal against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who with great joy and utter contempt have made my land their property and prey, because of its pasture.&#8217;p>

I will magnify<n id="1" /> my great name that has been profaned among the nations, that you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am the <sc>Lord,sc> declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>, when I magnify myself among you in their sight.p>

I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over them all. They will never again be two nations and never again be divided into two kingdoms.<n id="1" />

You will advance<n id="1" /> against my people Israel like a cloud covering the earth. In the latter days I will bring you against my land so that the nations may acknowledge me, when before their eyes I magnify myself<n id="2" /> through you, O Gog.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;This is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days by my servants<n id="1" /> the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days<n id="2" /> that I would bring you against them?

I will judge him with plague and bloodshed. I will rain down on him, his troops and the many peoples who are with him a torrential downpour, hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

<t /><p class="bodytext">In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city<n id="1" /> was struck down, on this very day,<n id="2" /> the hand<n id="3" /> of the <sc>Lordsc> was on me, and he brought me there.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">I saw<n id="1" /> a wall all around the outside of the temple.<n id="2" /> In the man&#8217;s hand was a measuring stick 10½ feet<n id="3" /> long. He measured the thickness of the wall<n id="4" /> as 10½ feet,<n id="5" /> and its height as 10½ feet.

It was like the vision I saw when he<n id="1" /> came to destroy the city, and the vision I saw by the Kebar River. I threw myself face down.

The ledge is 24½ feet<n id="1" /> long and 24½ feet wide on four sides; the border around it is 10½ inches,<n id="2" /> and its surrounding base 1¾ feet.<n id="3" /> Its steps face east.&#8221;p>

Because they used to minister to them before their idols, and became a sinful obstacle<n id="1" /> to the house of Israel, consequently I have made a vow<n id="2" /> concerning them, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>, that they will be responsible<n id="3" /> for their sin.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;But the Levitical priests, the descendants of Zadok<n id="1" /> who kept the charge of my sanctuary when the people of Israel went astray from me, will approach me to minister to me; they will stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;When you allot the land as an inheritance, you will offer an allotment<n id="1" /> to the <sc>Lordsc>, a holy portion from the land; the length will be eight and a quarter miles<n id="2" /> and the width three and one-third miles.<n id="3" /> This entire area will be holy.<n id="4" />

On the east side, between Hauran and Damascus, and between Gilead and the land of Israel, will be the Jordan. You will measure from the border to the eastern sea. This is the east side.

You must allot it as an inheritance among yourselves and for the foreigners who reside among you, who have fathered sons among you. You must treat them as native-born among the people of Israel; they will be allotted an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.<n id="1" />

For this reason no watered trees will grow so tall; their tops will not reach into the clouds, nor will the well-watered ones grow that high.<n id="1" /> For all of them have been appointed to die in the lower parts of the earth;<n id="2" /> they will be among mere mortals,<n id="3" /> with those who descend to the pit.p>
