For I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> many prophets and righteous people longed to see<n id="2" /> what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.p>

The<n id="1" /> seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth<n id="2" /> choke the word,<n id="3" /> so it produces nothing.

He said, &#8220;Yes.&#8221; When Peter came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first,<n id="1" /> &#8220;What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly kings collect tolls or taxes &#8211; from their sons<n id="2" /> or from foreigners?&#8221;

And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye than to have<n id="1" /> two eyes and be thrown into fiery hell.<n id="2" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

He said to him, &#8220;Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.&#8221;

Jesus said to him, &#8220;If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money<n id="1" /> to the poor, and you will have treasure<n id="2" /> in heaven. Then come, follow me.&#8221;

The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting,<n id="1" /> &#8220;<i>Hosannai><n id="2" /> to the Son of David! <b><i>Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!i>b><n id="3" /> <i>Hosannai> in the highest!&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Jesus said to them, &#8220;Have you never read in the scriptures:p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8216;<i><b>The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstoneb>.i><n id="1" />p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyesi>b>&#8217;?<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;But woe to you, experts in the law<n id="1" /> and you Pharisees, hypocrites!<n id="2" /> You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven!<n id="3" /> For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Woe to you, experts in the law<n id="1" /> and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Woe to you, experts in the law<n id="1" /> and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of everything unclean.<n id="2" />

so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah,<n id="1" /> whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

The Son of Man will go as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had never been born.&#8221;

But Jesus was silent. The<n id="1" /> high priest said to him, &#8220;I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ,<n id="2" /> the Son of God.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now when<n id="1" /> Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus<n id="2" /> had been condemned, he regretted what he had done and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders,

Now when the centurion<n id="1" /> and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and what took place, they were extremely terrified and said, &#8220;Truly this one was God&#8217;s Son!&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> he instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He gave them to the disciples,<n id="2" /> who in turn gave them to the crowds.<n id="3" />

Jesus<n id="1" /> answered them, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="2" /> if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, &#8216;Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,&#8217; it will happen.
