and one of you says to them, &#8220;Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,&#8221; but you do not give them what the body needs,<n id="1" /> what good is it?

For it is time for judgment to begin, starting with the house<n id="1" /> of God. And if it starts with us, what will be the fate<n id="2" /> of those who are disobedient to the gospel of God?

Who is the liar but the person who denies that Jesus is the Christ<n id="1" />? This one is the antichrist: the person who denies the Father and the Son.

Dear friends, we are God&#8217;s children now, and what we will be<n id="1" /> has not yet been revealed. We<n id="2" /> know that<n id="3" /> whenever<n id="4" /> it<n id="5" /> is revealed<n id="6" /> we will be like him, because<n id="7" /> we will see him just as he is.<n id="8" />

not like Cain<n id="1" /> who was of the evil one and brutally<n id="2" /> murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother&#8217;s were righteous.p>

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers,<n id="1" /> I will permit<n id="2" /> him to eat from the tree of life that is<n id="3" /> in the paradise of God.&#8217;<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">Who will not fear you, O Lord,p> <p class="poetry">and glorify<n id="1" /> your name, because you alone are holy?<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">All nations<n id="3" /> will come and worship before youp> <p class="poetry">for your righteous acts<n id="4" /> have been revealed.&#8221;p>

But<n id="1" /> the angel said to me, &#8220;Why are you astounded? I will interpret<n id="2" /> for you the mystery of the woman and of the beast with the seven heads and ten horns that carries her.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then Jesus called the<n id="1" /> disciples and said, &#8220;I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don&#8217;t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.&#8221;

Which of the two did his father&#8217;s will?&#8221; They said, &#8220;The first.&#8221;<n id="1" /> Jesus said to them, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="2" /> tax collectors<n id="3" /> and prostitutes will go ahead of you into the kingdom of God!

When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue.<n id="1" /> Many who heard him were astonished, saying, &#8220;Where did he get these ideas?<n id="2" /> And what is this wisdom that has been given to him? What are these miracles that are done through his hands?

<p class="bodytext">Jesus answered<n id="1" /> her, &#8220;If you had known<n id="2" /> the gift of God and who it is who said to you, &#8216;Give me some water<n id="3" /> to drink,&#8217; you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.&#8221;<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Then the crowd responded,<n id="1" /> &#8220;We have heard from the law that <i>the Christi><n id="2" /> <i>will remain foreveri>.<n id="3" /> How<n id="4" /> can you say, &#8216;The Son of Man must be lifted up&#8217;? Who is this Son of Man?&#8221;

So the soldiers said to one another, &#8220;Let&#8217;s not tear it, but throw dice<n id="1" /> to see who will get it.&#8221;<n id="2" /> This took place<n id="3" /> to fulfill the scripture that says, &#8220;<b><i>They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they threw dicei>b>.&#8221;<n id="4" /> So the soldiers did these things.p>

So the saying circulated<n id="1" /> among the brothers and sisters<n id="2" /> that this disciple was not going to die. But Jesus did not say to him that he was not going to die, but rather, &#8220;If I want him to live<n id="3" /> until I come back,<n id="4" /> what concern is that of yours?&#8221;p>

&#8220;Men, why are you doing these things? We too are men, with human natures<n id="1" /> just like you! We are proclaiming the good news to you, so that you should turn<n id="2" /> from these worthless<n id="3" /> things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth,<n id="4" /> the sea, and everything that is in them.

Also some of the Epicurean<n id="1" /> and Stoic<n id="2" /> philosophers were conversing<n id="3" /> with him, and some were asking,<n id="4" /> &#8220;What does this foolish babbler<n id="5" /> want to say?&#8221; Others said, &#8220;He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods.&#8221;<n id="6" /> (They said this because he was proclaiming the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.)<n id="7" />

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers,<n id="1" /> I will give him some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white<n id="2" /> stone,<n id="3" /> and on that stone will be written a new name that no one can understand<n id="4" /> except the one who receives it.&#8217;p>
