So Potiphar<n id="1" /> left<n id="2" /> everything he had in Joseph&#8217;s care;<n id="3" /> he gave no thought<n id="4" /> to anything except the food he ate.<n id="5" />p> <p class="bodytext">Now Joseph was well built and good-looking.<n id="6" />

There is no one greater in this household than I am. He has withheld nothing from me except you because you are his wife. So how could I do<n id="1" /> such a great evil and sin against God?&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Then Reuben said to his father, &#8220;You may<n id="1" /> put my two sons to death if I do not bring him back to you. Put him in my care<n id="2" /> and I will bring him back to you.&#8221;

If you do not release<n id="1" /> my people, then I am going to send<n id="2" /> swarms of flies<n id="3" /> on you and on your servants and on your people and in your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies, and even the ground they stand on.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;I am going to rain<n id="1" /> bread from heaven for you, and the people will go out<n id="2" /> and gather the amount for each day, so that I may test them.<n id="3" /> Will they will walk in my law<n id="4" /> or not?

<p class="bodytext">He called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the Israelites and because of their testing the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="1" /> saying, &#8220;Is the <sc>Lordsc> among us or not?&#8221;p>

Now if I have found favor in your sight, show me<n id="1" /> your way, that I may know you,<n id="2" /> that I may continue to find<n id="3" /> favor in your sight. And see<n id="4" /> that this nation is your people.&#8221;p>

and said, &#8220;If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, let my Lord<n id="1" /> go among us, for we<n id="2" /> are a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.&#8221;p>

If he presents it on account of thanksgiving,<n id="1" /> along with the thank offering sacrifice he must present unleavened loaves mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers smeared with olive oil,<n id="2" /> and well soaked<n id="3" /> ring-shaped loaves made of choice wheat flour<n id="4" /> mixed with olive oil.

Then the priest will put the woman under oath and say to the her, &#8220;If no other<n id="1" /> man has had sexual relations with you, and if you have not gone astray and become defiled while under your husband&#8217;s authority, may you be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.<n id="2" />

When he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, the water that brings a curse will enter her to produce bitterness &#8211; her abdomen will swell, her thigh will fall away, and the woman will become a curse among her people.

Did I conceive this entire people?<n id="1" /> Did I give birth to<n id="2" /> them, that you should say to me, &#8216;Carry them in your arms, as a foster father<n id="3" /> bears a nursing child,&#8217; to the land which you swore to their fathers?

then if anything is done unintentionally<n id="1" /> without the knowledge of<n id="2" /> the community, the whole community must prepare one young bull for a burnt offering &#8211; for a pleasing aroma to the <sc>Lordsc> &#8211; along with its grain offering and its customary drink offering, and one male goat for a purification offering.

<p class="bodytext">Balaam replied<n id="1" /> to the servants of Balak, &#8220;Even if Balak would give me his palace full of silver and gold, I could not transgress the commandment<n id="2" /> of the <sc>Lordsc> my God<n id="3" /> to do less or more.
