The king ordered all the people, “Observe the Passover of the Lord your God, as prescribed in this scroll of the covenant.”

The Babylonians broke the two bronze pillars in the Lord’s temple, as well as the movable stands and the big bronze basin called the “The Sea.” ¹  They took the bronze to Babylon.

So the woman did as the prophet said. ¹  She and her family went and lived in the land of the Philistines for seven years.

Just as the Lord had announced, he rejected Judah because of all the sins which Manasseh had committed. ¹ 

So she left him and closed the door behind her and her sons. As they were bringing the containers to her, she was pouring the olive oil.

At the same time they worshiped ¹  the Lord. They appointed some of their own people to serve as priests in the shrines on the high places. ² 

the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak, ¹  and the Sepharvites burned their sons in the fire as an offering to Adrammelech and Anammelech, ²  the gods of Sepharvaim.

These nations are worshiping the Lord and at the same time serving their idols; their sons and grandsons do just as their fathers have done, to this very day.
