You must not do as they do in the land of Egypt where you have been living, ¹  and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan into which I am about to bring you; ²  you must not ³  walk in their statutes.

As for ¹  the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities which they possess, ²  the Levites must have a perpetual right of redemption.

or his sin that he committed ¹  is made known to him, ²  he must bring a flawless female goat ³  as his offering for the sin ⁴  that he committed.

He must not marry ¹  a widow, a divorced woman, or one profaned by prostitution; he may only take a virgin from his people ²  as a wife.

In the jubilee year the field will return to the one from whom he bought it, the one to whom it belongs as landed property.

He ¹  must bring the rest of the bull outside the camp ²  and burn it just as he burned the first bull – it is the sin offering of the assembly.

Finally, he set the turban ¹  on his head and attached the gold plate, the holy diadem, ²  to the front of the turban just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

The fat and the kidneys and the protruding lobe of ¹  the liver from the sin offering he offered up in smoke on the altar just as the Lord had commanded Moses,

“The priest is to take one male lamb ¹  and present it for a guilt offering ²  along with the log of olive oil and present them as a wave offering before the Lord. ³ 

They will stumble over each other as those who flee before a sword, though ¹  there is no pursuer, and there will be no one to take a stand ²  for you before your enemies.

It must not be baked with yeast. ¹  I have given it as their portion from my gifts. It is most holy, ²  like the sin offering and the guilt offering.

The one from Aaron’s sons who presents the blood of the peace offering and fat will have the right thigh as his share,

You must not give any of your children as an offering to Molech, ¹  so that you do not profane ²  the name of your God. I am the Lord!

As for any person ¹  who does any work on this particular day, I will exterminate ²  that person from the midst of his people! ³ 

The meat which touches anything ceremonially ¹  unclean must not be eaten; it must be burned up in the fire. As for ceremonially clean meat, ²  everyone who is ceremonially clean may eat the meat.

This is to be a perpetual statute for you ¹  to make atonement for the Israelites for ²  all their sins once a year.” ³  So he did just as the Lord had commanded Moses. ⁴ 

Then Moses spoke to the Israelites and they brought the one who cursed outside the camp and stoned him with stones. So the Israelites did just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

the priest will calculate for him the amount of its conversion value until the jubilee year, and he must pay ¹  the conversion value on that jubilee day as something that is holy to the Lord.

You must not go about as a slanderer among your people. ¹  You must not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is at stake. ²  I am the Lord.

“Tell the Israelites, ‘When a woman produces offspring ¹  and bears a male child, ²  she will be unclean seven days, as she is unclean during the days of her menstruation. ³
