you know what happened throughout Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John announced:<n id="1" />

He<n id="1" /> commanded us to preach to the people and to warn<n id="2" /> them<n id="3" /> that he is the one<n id="4" /> appointed<n id="5" /> by God as judge<n id="6" /> of the living and the dead.

For Moses has had those who proclaim him in every town from ancient times,<n id="1" /> because he is read aloud<n id="2" /> in the synagogues<n id="3" /> every Sabbath.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;And now<n id="1" /> I know that none<n id="2" /> of you among whom I went around proclaiming the kingdom<n id="3" /> will see me<n id="4" /> again.

<p class="bodytext">How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them<n id="1" />?

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now if Christ is being preached as raised from the dead,<n id="1" /> how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead?

And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming in a loud voice: &#8220;Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Jesus<n id="1" /> went throughout all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,<n id="2" /> preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of disease and sickness among the people.

But as the man<n id="1" /> went out he began to announce it publicly and spread the story widely, so that Jesus<n id="2" /> was no longer able to enter any town openly but stayed outside in remote places. Still<n id="3" /> they kept coming<n id="4" /> to him from everywhere.p>

&#8220;Return to your home,<n id="1" /> and declare<n id="2" /> what God has done for you.&#8221;<n id="3" /> So<n id="4" /> he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole town<n id="5" /> what Jesus<n id="6" /> had done for him.p>

So then<n id="1" /> whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered<n id="2" /> in private rooms<n id="3" /> will be proclaimed from the housetops.<n id="4" />p>

But some itinerant<n id="1" /> Jewish exorcists tried to invoke the name<n id="2" /> of the Lord Jesus over those who were possessed by<n id="3" /> evil spirits, saying, &#8220;I sternly warn<n id="4" /> you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.&#8221;

But what does it say? &#8220;<i><b>The word is near youb>, <b>in your mouth and in your heartb>i>&#8221;<n id="1" /> (that is, the word of faith that we preach),

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the one who was proclaimed among you by us &#8211; by me and Silvanus<n id="1" /> and Timothy &#8211; was not &#8220;Yes&#8221; and &#8220;No,&#8221; but it has always been &#8220;Yes&#8221; in him.

I went there<n id="1" /> because of<n id="2" /> a revelation and presented<n id="3" /> to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did so<n id="4" /> only in a private meeting with the influential people,<n id="5" /> to make sure that I was not running &#8211; or had not run<n id="6" /> &#8211; in vain.

if indeed you remain in the faith, established and firm,<n id="1" /> without shifting<n id="2" /> from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has also been preached in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become its servant.p>

For you recall, brothers and sisters,<n id="1" /> our toil and drudgery: By working night and day so as not to impose a burden on any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

And we all agree,<n id="1" /> our religion contains amazing revelation:<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">He<n id="3" /> was revealed in the flesh,p> <p class="poetry">vindicated by the Spirit,<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">seen by angels,p> <p class="poetry">proclaimed among Gentiles,p> <p class="poetry">believed on in the world,p> <p class="poetry">taken up in glory.p>

They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.]]p>
