<p class="bodyblock">Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt<n id="1" /> that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified<n id="2" /> both Lord<n id="3" /> and Christ.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

For the promise<n id="1" /> is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.&#8221;

praising God and having the good will<n id="1" /> of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day<n id="2" /> those who were being saved.p>

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

And now, Lord, pay attention to<n id="1" /> their threats, and grant<n id="2" /> to your servants<n id="3" /> to speak your message<n id="4" /> with great courage,<n id="5" />

With<n id="1" /> great power the apostles were giving testimony<n id="2" /> to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on them all.

<b><i>But the Lord said to him,i>b> &#8216;<i><b>Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy groundb>.i><n id="1" />

Then he fell<n id="1" /> to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, &#8220;Lord, do not hold this sin against them!&#8221;<n id="2" /> When<n id="3" /> he had said this, he died.<n id="4" />

Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord<n id="1" /> that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.<n id="2" />

But Simon replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to<n id="2" /> me.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">So after Peter and John<n id="1" /> had solemnly testified<n id="2" /> and spoken the word of the Lord,<n id="3" /> they started back to Jerusalem, proclaiming<n id="4" /> the good news to many Samaritan villages<n id="5" /> as they went.<n id="6" />p>

But Ananias replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Lord, I have heard from many people<n id="2" /> about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

And I remembered the word of the Lord,<n id="1" /> as he used to say,<n id="2" /> &#8216;John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.&#8217;<n id="3" />

But there were some men from Cyprus<n id="1" /> and Cyrene<n id="2" /> among them who came<n id="3" /> to Antioch<n id="4" /> and began to speak to the Greeks<n id="5" /> too, proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus.

When<n id="1" /> he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true<n id="2" /> to the Lord with devoted hearts,<n id="3" />

Immediately an angel of the Lord<n id="1" /> struck<n id="2" /> Herod<n id="3" /> down because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.<n id="4" />

For this<n id="1" /> is what the Lord has commanded us: &#8216;<i>I have appointedi><n id="2" /> <i>you to be a lighti><n id="3" /> <i>for the Gentiles, to bring salvationi><n id="4" /> <i>to the ends of the earth.i>&#8217;&#8221;<n id="5" />

But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch,<n id="1" /> teaching and proclaiming (along with many others)<n id="2" /> the word of the Lord.<n id="3" />p>

The God who made the world and everything in it,<n id="1" /> who is<n id="2" /> Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,<n id="3" />
