I will rescue<n id="1" /> you from your own people<n id="2" /> and from the Gentiles, to whom<n id="3" /> I am sending you

And again, &#8220;<i><b>Praise the Lord all you Gentilesb>, <b>and let all the peoples praise himb>i>.&#8221;<n id="1" />

Therefore, to sanctify the people by his own blood, Jesus also suffered outside the camp.

Then<n id="1" /> they<n id="2" /> told me: &#8220;You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations,<n id="3" /> languages, and kings.&#8221;p>

She will give birth to a son and you will name him<n id="1" /> Jesus,<n id="2" /> because he will save his people from their sins.&#8221;

<p class="otpoetry"><b><i>the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><i><b>and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawnedb>.i>&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people met together in the palace of the high priest, who was named Caiaphas.

<t /><p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> it was early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to execute him.

And he will go as forerunner before the Lord<n id="1" /> in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just,<n id="2" /> to make ready for the Lord a people prepared for him.&#8221;p>

But the angel said to them, &#8220;Do not be afraid! Listen carefully,<n id="1" /> for I proclaim to you good news<n id="2" /> that brings great joy to all the people:

<p class="bodytext">While the people were filled with anticipation<n id="1" /> and they all wondered<n id="2" /> whether perhaps John<n id="3" /> could be the Christ,<n id="4" />

And immediately he regained<n id="1" /> his sight and followed Jesus,<n id="2" /> praising<n id="3" /> God. When<n id="4" /> all the people saw it, they too<n id="5" /> gave praise to God.p>

<p class="bodytext">Jesus<n id="1" /> was teaching daily in the temple courts. The chief priests and the experts in the law<n id="2" /> and the prominent leaders among the people were seeking to assassinate<n id="3" /> him,

But if we say, &#8216;From people,&#8217; all the people will stone us, because they are convinced that John was a prophet.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> he began to tell the people this parable: &#8220;A man<n id="2" /> planted a vineyard,<n id="3" /> leased it to tenant farmers,<n id="4" /> and went on a journey for a long time.

Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! For there will be great distress<n id="1" /> on the earth and wrath against this people.

<p class="bodytext">When day came, the council of the elders of the people gathered together, both the chief priests and the experts in the law.<n id="1" /> Then<n id="2" /> they led Jesus<n id="3" /> away to their council<n id="4" />

But they persisted<n id="1" /> in saying, &#8220;He incites<n id="2" /> the people by teaching throughout all Judea. It started in Galilee and ended up here!&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

Early in the morning he came to the temple courts again. All the people came to him, and he sat down and began to teach<n id="1" /> them.

You do not realize<n id="1" /> that it is more to your advantage to have one man<n id="2" /> die for the people than for the whole nation to perish.&#8221;<n id="3" />
