<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> turned<n id="3" /> to his<n id="4" /> disciples and said privately, &#8220;Blessed<n id="5" /> are the eyes that see what you see!

<p class="bodytext">But the expert,<n id="1" /> wanting to justify<n id="2" /> himself, said to Jesus, &#8220;And who is my neighbor?&#8221;

because a friend of mine has stopped here while on a journey,<n id="1" /> and I have nothing to set before<n id="2" /> him.&#8217;

Someone<n id="1" /> asked<n id="2" /> him, &#8220;Lord, will only a few<n id="3" /> be saved?&#8221; So<n id="4" /> he said to them,

Then<n id="1" /> the rich man<n id="2" /> said, &#8216;No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead<n id="3" /> goes to them, they will repent.&#8217;

So<n id="1" /> Jesus stopped and ordered the beggar<n id="2" /> to be brought to him. When the man<n id="3" /> came near, Jesus<n id="4" /> asked him,

As<n id="1" /> they were untying the colt, its owners asked them,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Why are you untying that colt?&#8221;

But<n id="1" /> some of the Pharisees<n id="2" /> in the crowd said to him, &#8220;Teacher, rebuke your disciples.&#8221;<n id="3" />

He answered them,<n id="1" /> &#8220;I will also ask you a question, and you tell me:

So<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar&#8217;s, and to God the things that are God&#8217;s.&#8221;<n id="2" />

And he said to them, &#8220;I have earnestly desired<n id="1" /> to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

When<n id="1" /> he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted<n id="2" /> from grief.

Then<n id="1" /> Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, &#8220;I find no basis for an accusation<n id="2" /> against this man.&#8221;

Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Look, he has done nothing<n id="1" /> deserving death.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> led them out as far as Bethany,<n id="3" /> and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

<p class="bodytext">And the child kept growing<n id="1" /> and becoming strong<n id="2" /> in spirit, and he was in the wilderness<n id="3" /> until the day he was revealed<n id="4" /> to Israel.p>

So<n id="1" /> the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising<n id="2" /> God for all they had heard and seen; everything was just as they had been told.<n id="3" />p>

But<n id="1" /> he replied,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Why were you looking for me?<n id="3" /> Didn&#8217;t you know that I must be in my Father&#8217;s house?&#8221;<n id="4" />

Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees,<n id="1" /> and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be<n id="2" /> cut down and thrown into the fire.&#8221;p>

But Jesus<n id="1" /> said to them, &#8220;I must<n id="2" /> proclaim the good news of the kingdom<n id="3" /> of God to the other towns<n id="4" /> too, for that is what I was sent<n id="5" /> to do.&#8221;<n id="6" />
