When they arrived and gathered the church together, they reported<n id="1" /> all the things God<n id="2" /> had done with them, and that he had opened a door<n id="3" /> of faith for the Gentiles.

Suddenly a great earthquake occurred, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. Immediately all the doors flew open, and the bonds<n id="1" /> of all the prisoners came loose.

At the same time pray<n id="1" /> for us too, that<n id="2" /> God may open a door for the message<n id="3" /> so that we may proclaim<n id="4" /> the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.<n id="5" />

And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming in a loud voice: &#8220;Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?&#8221;

But<n id="1" /> no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or look into it.

So<n id="1" /> the beast<n id="2" /> opened his mouth to blaspheme against God &#8211; to blaspheme both his name and his dwelling place,<n id="3" /> that is, those who dwell in heaven.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then<n id="1" /> books were opened, and another book was opened &#8211; the book of life.<n id="2" /> So<n id="3" /> the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.<n id="4" />

As they came into the house and saw the child with Mary his mother, they bowed down<n id="1" /> and worshiped him. They opened their treasure boxes and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense,<n id="2" /> and myrrh.<n id="3" />

After<n id="1" /> Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the<n id="2" /> heavens<n id="3" /> opened<n id="4" /> and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove<n id="5" /> and coming on him.

He continued,<n id="1" /> &#8220;I tell all of you the solemn truth<n id="2" /> &#8211; you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

But we do not know how he is now able to see, nor do we know who caused him to see.<n id="1" /> Ask him, he is a mature adult.<n id="2" /> He will speak for himself.&#8221;

The man replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;This is a remarkable thing,<n id="2" /> that you don&#8217;t know where he comes from, and yet he caused me to see!<n id="3" />

Now the passage of scripture the man<n id="1" /> was reading was this:p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8220;<b><i>He was led like a sheep to slaughter,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>and like a lamb before its shearer is silent,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>so he didi>b><n id="2" /> <i><b>not open his mouthb>.i>p>

But Peter sent them all outside,<n id="1" /> knelt down,<n id="2" /> and prayed. Turning<n id="3" /> to the body, he said, &#8220;Tabitha, get up.&#8221; Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.<n id="4" />

When she recognized Peter&#8217;s voice, she was so overjoyed she did not open the gate, but ran back in and told<n id="1" /> them<n id="2" /> that Peter was standing at the gate.

When the jailer woke up<n id="1" /> and saw the doors of the prison standing open,<n id="2" /> he drew his sword and was about to kill himself,<n id="3" /> because he assumed<n id="4" /> the prisoners had escaped.

But just as Paul was about to speak,<n id="1" /> Gallio said to the Jews, &#8220;If it were a matter of some crime or serious piece of villainy,<n id="2" /> I would have been justified in accepting the complaint<n id="3" /> of you Jews,<n id="4" />

to open their eyes so that they turn<n id="1" /> from darkness to light and from the power<n id="2" /> of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share<n id="3" /> among those who are sanctified by faith in me.&#8217;p>

Listen!<n id="1" /> I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home<n id="2" /> and share a meal with him, and he with me.

Then<n id="1" /> one of the elders said<n id="2" /> to me, &#8220;Stop weeping!<n id="3" /> Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered;<n id="4" /> thus he can open<n id="5" /> the scroll and its seven seals.&#8221;p>
