But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

But some boats from Tiberias<n id="1" /> came to shore<n id="2" /> near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.<n id="3" />

It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything that causes your brother to stumble.<n id="1" />

For when it is time to eat, everyone proceeds with his own supper. One is hungry and another becomes drunk.

We have an altar that those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat from.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now on the first day of the feast of<n id="1" /> Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?&#8221;<n id="3" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> called his disciples and said to them,

He said to it,<n id="1" /> &#8220;May no one ever eat fruit from you again.&#8221; And his disciples heard it.<n id="2" />p>

where for forty days he endured temptations<n id="1" /> from the devil. He<n id="2" /> ate nothing<n id="3" /> during those days, and when they were completed,<n id="4" /> he was famished.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now one of the Pharisees<n id="1" /> asked Jesus<n id="2" /> to have dinner with him, so<n id="3" /> he went into the Pharisee&#8217;s house and took his place at the table.<n id="4" />

And I will say to myself,<n id="1" /> &#8220;You have plenty of goods stored up for many years; relax, eat, drink, celebrate!&#8221;&#8217;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> one Sabbath when Jesus went to dine<n id="2" /> at the house of a leader<n id="3" /> of the Pharisees,<n id="4" /> they were watching<n id="5" /> him closely.

<t /><p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> one of those at the meal with Jesus<n id="2" /> heard this, he said to him, &#8220;Blessed is everyone<n id="3" /> who will feast<n id="4" /> in the kingdom of God!&#8221;<n id="5" />

This<n id="1" /> is the bread that has come down from heaven, so that a person<n id="2" /> may eat from it and not die.

<p class="bodytext">Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus<n id="1" /> began to argue with one another,<n id="2" /> &#8220;How can this man<n id="3" /> give us his flesh to eat?&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">When morning came,<n id="1" /> the Jews formed<n id="2" /> a conspiracy<n id="3" /> and bound themselves with an oath<n id="4" /> not to eat or drink anything<n id="5" /> until they had killed Paul.

But the man who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not do so from faith, and whatever is not from faith is sin.<n id="1" />p>

For this reason, if food causes my brother or sister to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I may not cause one of them<n id="1" /> to sin.p>

So do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, &#8220;<b><i>The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to playi>b>.&#8221;<n id="1" />
