Since I could not see because of<n id="1" /> the brilliance<n id="2" /> of that light, I came to Damascus led by the hand of<n id="3" /> those who were with me.

about noon along the road, Your Majesty,<n id="1" /> I saw a light from heaven,<n id="2" /> brighter than the sun, shining everywhere around<n id="3" /> me and those traveling with me.

But if your eye is diseased,<n id="1" /> your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!p>

And Peter had followed him from a distance, up to the high priest&#8217;s courtyard. He<n id="1" /> was sitting with the guards<n id="2" /> and warming himself by the fire.

to open their eyes so that they turn<n id="1" /> from darkness to light and from the power<n id="2" /> of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share<n id="3" /> among those who are sanctified by faith in me.&#8217;p>

For God, who said &#8220;<i>Let light shine out of darknessi>,&#8221;<n id="1" /> is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge<n id="2" /> of God in the face of Christ.<n id="3" />p>

But you are <i>a chosen racei>, <i>a royal priesthoodi>, <i>a holy nationi>, <i>a people of his owni>, so that you may <i>proclaim the virtuesi><n id="1" /> of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> this is the gospel<n id="2" /> message<n id="3" /> we have heard from him<n id="4" /> and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.<n id="5" />

On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you which is true in him<n id="1" /> and in you, because<n id="2" /> the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.<n id="3" />

Suddenly<n id="1" /> an angel of the Lord<n id="2" /> appeared, and a light shone in the prison cell. He struck<n id="3" /> Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, &#8220;Get up quickly!&#8221; And the chains fell off Peter&#8217;s<n id="4" /> wrists.<n id="5" />
