Simeon<n id="1" /> took him in his arms and blessed God, saying,<n id="2" />p>

Jesus<n id="1" /> answered him,<n id="2" /> &#8220;It is said, &#8216;<b><i>You are not to put the Lord your God to the testi>b>.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="3" />

And he added,<n id="1" /> &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="2" /> no prophet is acceptable<n id="3" /> in his hometown.

When<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> saw their<n id="3" /> faith he said, &#8220;Friend,<n id="4" /> your sins are forgiven.&#8221;<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">He also told them a parable: &#8220;Someone who is blind cannot lead another who is blind, can he?<n id="1" /> Won&#8217;t they both fall<n id="2" /> into a pit?

When<n id="1" /> the Lord saw her, he had compassion<n id="2" /> for her and said to her, &#8220;Do not weep.&#8221;<n id="3" />

He<n id="1" /> said to the woman, &#8220;Your faith<n id="2" /> has saved you;<n id="3" /> go in peace.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus<n id="1" /> from one town after another,<n id="2" /> he spoke to them<n id="3" /> in a parable:

But Jesus said, &#8220;Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out<n id="1" /> from me.&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> he said to her, &#8220;Daughter, your faith has made you well.<n id="2" /> Go in peace.&#8221;p>

(Now about five thousand men<n id="1" /> were there.)<n id="2" /> Then<n id="3" /> he said to his disciples, &#8220;Have<n id="4" /> them sit down in groups of about fifty each.&#8221;

But Jesus said to him, &#8220;Do not stop him, for whoever is not against you is for you.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">As<n id="1" /> they were walking<n id="2" /> along the road, someone said to him, &#8220;I will follow you wherever you go.&#8221;<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> turned<n id="3" /> to his<n id="4" /> disciples and said privately, &#8220;Blessed<n id="5" /> are the eyes that see what you see!

<p class="bodytext">But the expert,<n id="1" /> wanting to justify<n id="2" /> himself, said to Jesus, &#8220;And who is my neighbor?&#8221;

But the Lord<n id="1" /> answered her,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Martha, Martha,<n id="3" /> you are worried and troubled<n id="4" /> about many things,

But he replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey<n id="2" /> it!&#8221;p>

But Jesus<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;Man,<n id="2" /> who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?&#8221;<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Peter said, &#8220;Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?&#8221;<n id="2" />

When<n id="1" /> Jesus saw her, he called her to him<n id="2" /> and said, &#8220;Woman,<n id="3" /> you are freed<n id="4" /> from your infirmity.&#8221;<n id="5" />
