<p class="bodytext">Paul<n id="1" /> lived<n id="2" /> there two whole years in his own rented quarters<n id="3" /> and welcomed<n id="4" /> all who came to him,

He told them, &#8220;You are not permitted to know<n id="1" /> the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now when they heard this,<n id="1" /> they were acutely distressed<n id="2" /> and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, &#8220;What should we do, brothers?&#8221;

praising God and having the good will<n id="1" /> of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day<n id="2" /> those who were being saved.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">While the man<n id="1" /> was hanging on to Peter and John, all the people, completely astounded, ran together to them in the covered walkway<n id="2" /> called Solomon&#8217;s Portico.<n id="3" />

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

<t /><p class="bodytext">While Peter and John<n id="1" /> were speaking to the people, the priests and the commander<n id="2" /> of the temple guard<n id="3" /> and the Sadducees<n id="4" /> came up<n id="5" /> to them,

But Peter and John replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Whether it is right before God to obey<n id="2" /> you rather than God, you decide,

Peter said to her, &#8220;Tell me, were the two of you<n id="1" /> paid this amount<n id="2" /> for the land?&#8221; Sapphira<n id="3" /> said, &#8220;Yes, that much.&#8221;

and said to him, &#8216;<b><i>Go out from your country and from your relatives, and come to the land I will show youi>b>.&#8217;<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">Now when the apostles in Jerusalem<n id="1" /> heard that Samaria had accepted the word<n id="2" /> of God, they sent<n id="3" /> Peter and John to them.

But Peter said to him, &#8220;May your silver perish with you,<n id="1" /> because you thought you could acquire<n id="2" /> God&#8217;s gift with money!

But Simon replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;You pray to the Lord for me so that nothing of what you have said may happen to<n id="2" /> me.&#8221;p>

About three o&#8217;clock one afternoon<n id="1" /> he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God<n id="2" /> who came in<n id="3" /> and said to him, &#8220;Cornelius.&#8221;

So Peter went down<n id="1" /> to the men and said, &#8220;Here I am,<n id="2" /> the person you&#8217;re looking for. Why have you come?&#8221;

At that very moment,<n id="1" /> three men sent to me from Caesarea<n id="2" /> approached<n id="3" /> the house where we were staying.<n id="4" />

But there were some men from Cyprus<n id="1" /> and Cyrene<n id="2" /> among them who came<n id="3" /> to Antioch<n id="4" /> and began to speak to the Greeks<n id="5" /> too, proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus.

So Peter was kept in prison, but those in the church were earnestly<n id="1" /> praying to God for him.<n id="2" />

But they said to her, &#8220;You&#8217;ve lost your mind!&#8221;<n id="1" /> But she kept insisting that it was Peter,<n id="2" /> and they kept saying,<n id="3" /> &#8220;It is his angel!&#8221;<n id="4" />

and<n id="1" /> for many days he appeared to those who had accompanied<n id="2" /> him from Galilee to Jerusalem. These<n id="3" /> are now his witnesses to the people.
