No one<n id="1" /> could see<n id="2" /> another person, and no one could rise from his place for three days. But the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.p>

So the <sc>Lordsc> saved<n id="1" /> Israel on that day from the power<n id="2" /> of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead<n id="3" /> on the shore of the sea.

When Israel saw<n id="1" /> the great power<n id="2" /> that the <sc>Lordsc> had exercised<n id="3" /> over the Egyptians, they<n id="4" /> feared the <sc>Lordsc>, and they believed in<n id="5" /> the <sc>Lordsc> and in his servant Moses.<n id="6" />p>

and in the morning you will see<n id="1" /> the glory of the <sc>Lordsc>, because he has heard<n id="2" /> your murmurings against the <sc>Lordsc>. As for us, what are we,<n id="3" /> that you should murmur against us?&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">As Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> in the cloud,

&#8216;You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt and how I lifted you on eagles&#8217; wings<n id="1" /> and brought you to myself.<n id="2" />

The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Go down and solemnly warn<n id="1" /> the people, lest they force their way through to the <sc>Lordsc> to look, and many of them perish.<n id="2" />

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said<n id="2" /> to Moses: &#8220;Thus you will tell the Israelites: &#8216;You yourselves have seen that I have spoken with you from heaven.

If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen under its load, you must not ignore him,<n id="1" /> but be sure to help<n id="2" /> him with it.<n id="3" />p>

According to all that I am showing you<n id="1" /> &#8211; the pattern of the tabernacle<n id="2" /> and the pattern of all its furnishings &#8211; you<n id="3" /> must make it exactly so.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses: &#8220;I have seen this people.<n id="1" /> Look<n id="2" /> what a stiff-necked people they are!<n id="3" />

When all the people would see the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people, each one at the entrance of his own tent, would rise and worship.<n id="1" />

Now the firstling<n id="1" /> of a donkey you may redeem with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, then break its neck.<n id="2" /> You must redeem all the firstborn of your sons.p> <p class="bodytext">&#8220;No one will appear before me empty-handed.<n id="3" />p>

When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, the skin of his face shone;<n id="1" /> and they were afraid to approach him.

<p class="bodytext">Moses said to the Israelites, &#8220;See, the <sc>Lordsc> has chosen<n id="1" /> Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

Moses inspected<n id="1" /> all the work &#8211; and<n id="2" /> they had done it just as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded &#8211; they had done it exactly &#8211; and Moses blessed them.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then the daughter of Pharaoh<n id="1" /> came down to wash herself<n id="2" /> by the Nile, while her attendants were walking alongside the river,<n id="3" /> and she saw the basket among the reeds. She sent one of her attendants,<n id="4" /> took it,<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Go and bring together<n id="1" /> the elders of Israel and tell them, &#8216;The <sc>Lordsc>, the God of your fathers,<n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> to me &#8211; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob &#8211; saying, &#8220;I have attended carefully<n id="4" /> to you and to what has been done<n id="5" /> to you in Egypt,

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> became angry with<n id="1" /> Moses, and he said, &#8220;What about<n id="2" /> your brother Aaron the Levite?<n id="3" /> I know that he can speak very well.<n id="4" /> Moreover, he is coming<n id="5" /> to meet you, and when he sees you he will be glad in his heart.<n id="6" />p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">So Moses went back<n id="2" /> to his father-in-law Jethro and said to him, &#8220;Let me go, so that I may return<n id="3" /> to my relatives<n id="4" /> in Egypt and see<n id="5" /> if they are still alive.&#8221; Jethro said to Moses, &#8220;Go in peace.&#8221;
