<t /><p class="poetry">So<n id="1" /> I again considered<n id="2" /> all the oppression<n id="3" /> that continually occurs<n id="4" /> on earth.<n id="5" />p> <p class="poetry">This is what I saw:<n id="6" />p> <p class="poetry">The oppressed<n id="7" /> were in tears,<n id="8" /> but no one was comforting them;p> <p class="poetry">no one delivers<n id="9" /> them from the power of their oppressors.<n id="10" />p>

<p class="poetry">Look up at the sky!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Who created all these heavenly lights?<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">He is the one who leads out their ranks;<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">he calls them all by name.p> <p class="poetry">Because of his absolute power and awesome strength,p> <p class="poetry">not one of them is missing.p>

<p class="poetry">Why does no one challenge me when I come?p> <p class="poetry">Why does no one respond when I call?<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Is my hand too weak<n id="2" /> to deliver<n id="3" /> you?p> <p class="poetry">Do I lack the power to rescue you?p> <p class="poetry">Look, with a mere shout<n id="4" /> I can dry up the sea;p> <p class="poetry">I can turn streams into a desert,p> <p class="poetry">so the fish rot away and diep> <p class="poetry">from lack of water.<n id="5" />p>

young men in whom there was no physical defect and who were handsome,<n id="1" /> well versed in all kinds of wisdom, well educated<n id="2" /> and having keen insight,<n id="3" /> and who were capable<n id="4" /> of entering the king&#8217;s royal service<n id="5" /> &#8211; and to teach them the literature and language<n id="6" /> of the Babylonians.<n id="7" />

I saw it approaching the ram. It went into a fit of rage against the ram<n id="1" /> and struck it<n id="2" /> and broke off its two horns. Then<n id="1" /> one who appeared to be a human being<n id="2" /> was touching my lips. I opened my mouth and started to speak, saying to the one who was standing before me, &#8220;Sir,<n id="3" /> due to the vision, anxiety has gripped me and I have no strength.

How, sir, am I able to speak with you?<n id="1" /> My strength is gone,<n id="2" /> and I am breathless.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Asa prayed<n id="1" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> his God: &#8220;O <sc>Lordsc>, there is no one but you who can help the weak when they are vastly outnumbered.<n id="2" /> Help us, O <sc>Lordsc> our God, for we rely on you and have marched on your behalf against this huge army.<n id="3" /> O <sc>Lordsc> our God, don&#8217;t let men prevail against you!&#8221;<n id="4" />
