Can your heart endure,<n id="1" /> or can your hands be strong when I deal with you?<n id="2" /> I, the <sc>Lord,sc> have spoken, and I will do it!

Then the nations which remain around you will know that I, the <sc>Lord,sc> have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was desolate. I, the <sc>Lordsc>, have spoken &#8211; and I will do it!&#8217;p>

<t /><p class="poetry">I will be like a lion to Ephraim,p> <p class="poetry">like a young lion to the house of Judah.p> <p class="poetry">I myself will tear them to pieces,p> <p class="poetry">then I will carry them off, and no one will be able to rescue them!p>

<p class="poetry">O Ephraim, I do not want to have anything to do<n id="1" /> with idols anymore!p> <p class="poetry">I will answer him and care for him.p> <p class="poetry">I am like<n id="2" /> a luxuriant cypress tree; <n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">your fruitfulness comes from me!<n id="4" />p>

But I am greatly displeased with the nations that take my grace for granted.<n id="1" /> I was a little displeased with them, but they have only made things worse for themselves.p>

&#8220;As for me,<n id="1" /> this<n id="2" /> is my covenant with you: You will be the father of a multitude of nations.

Now then, my son, do<n id="1" /> exactly what I tell you!<n id="2" />

Then he asked, &#8220;Are you really my son Esau?&#8221; &#8220;I am,&#8221; Jacob<n id="1" /> replied.

<p class="bodytext">God spoke<n id="1" /> to Moses and said to him, &#8220;I am the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="2" />

You must be sure to obey my statutes.<n id="1" /> I am the <sc>Lordsc> who sanctifies you.p>

He must not profane his children among his people,<n id="1" /> for I am the <sc>Lordsc> who sanctifies him.&#8217;&#8221;p>

He must not eat an animal that has died of natural causes<n id="1" /> or an animal torn by beasts and thus become unclean by it. I am the <sc>Lordsc>.

You must keep my Sabbaths and reverence<n id="1" /> my sanctuary. I am the <sc>Lordsc>.p>

He replied, &#8220;Yes,<n id="1" /> go and say to your master, &#8216;Elijah is back.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="2" />

Then a spirit<n id="1" /> stepped forward and stood before the <sc>Lordsc>. He said, &#8216;I will deceive him.&#8217; The <sc>Lordsc> asked him, &#8216;How?&#8217;

<p class="poetry">I myself<n id="1" /> have seen the fool<n id="2" /> taking root,p> <p class="poetry">but suddenly I cursed his place of residence.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Am I the sea, or the creature of the deep,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">that you must put<n id="2" /> me under guard?<n id="3" />p>
