We will not return to our homes until every Israelite has his inheritance.

So it will be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of a permanent priesthood, because he has been zealous for his God, ¹  and has made atonement ²  for the Israelites.’”

So Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border; therefore Israel turned away from him.

He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord commanded, ¹  by the authority ²  of Moses.

But Sihon did not permit Israel to pass through his border; he ¹  gathered all his forces ²  together and went out against Israel into the wilderness. When ³  he came to Jahaz, he fought against Israel.

These are the statutes that the Lord commanded Moses, relating to ¹  a man and his wife, and a father and his young daughter who is still living in her father’s house.

The one who burns it ¹  must wash his clothes in water and bathe himself in water. He will be ceremonially unclean until evening.

because the slayer ¹  should have stayed in his town of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of the high priest, the slayer may return to the land of his possessions.

And to help you ¹  there is to be a man from each ²  tribe, each man ³  the head ⁴  of his family. ⁵ 

He must rededicate ¹  to the Lord the days of his separation and bring a male lamb in its first year as a reparation offering, ²  but the former days will not be counted ³  because his separation ⁴  was defiled.

Every offering ¹  of all the Israelites’ holy things that they bring to the priest will be his.

Joshua son of Nun, the servant ¹  of Moses, one of his choice young men, ²  said, ³  “My lord Moses, stop them!” ⁴
