Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies.

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.

Instead we speak the wisdom of God, hidden in a mystery, that God determined before the ages for our glory.

With regard to the question about people who have never married, ¹  I have no command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one shown mercy by the Lord to be trustworthy.

For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.

For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.

It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.

For who concedes you any superiority? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as though you did not?

Already you are satisfied! Already you are rich! You have become kings without us! I wish you had become kings so that we could reign with you!

We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, we are dishonored!

For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. In the same way, the one who was called as a free person is Christ’s slave.

But the man who is firm in his commitment, and is under no necessity but has control over his will, and has decided in his own mind to keep his own virgin, does well.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live. ¹ 

To the weak I became weak in order to gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that by all means I may save some.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, ¹  I set aside childish ways.

Now, brothers and sisters, ¹  you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts ²  of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you

I urge you, brothers and sisters, ¹  by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree together, ²  to end your divisions, ³  and to be united by the same mind and purpose. ⁴
