“I give you a new commandment – to love ¹  one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. ² 

Then all of Judah brought the tithe of the grain, the new wine, and the olive oil to the storerooms.

When the hay is removed and new grass appears, and the grass from the hills is gathered in,

and have been clothed with the new man ¹  that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.

Look, my earlier predictive oracles have come to pass; ¹  now I announce new events. Before they begin to occur, I reveal them to you.” ² 

They have committed treason ¹  against the Lord, because they bore illegitimate children. Soon ²  the new moon festival will devour them and their fields.

at the scent ¹  of water it will flourish ²  and put forth ³  shoots like a new plant.

These wineskins we filled were brand new, but look how they have ripped. Our clothes and sandals have worn out because it has been a very long journey.”

He said, “Why do you want to go see him today? It is not the new moon ¹  or the Sabbath.” She said, “Everything’s fine.” ² 

A psalm. Sing to the Lord a new song, ²  for he performs ³  amazing deeds! His right hand and his mighty arm accomplish deliverance. ⁴ 

What exists now ¹  is what will be, ²  and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing truly new on earth. ³ 

The mandrakes ¹  send out their fragrance; over our door is every delicacy, ²  both new and old, which I have stored up for you, my lover.

Do not bring any more meaningless ¹  offerings; I consider your incense detestable! ²  You observe new moon festivals, Sabbaths, and convocations, but I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations! ³ 

Nations will see your vindication, and all kings your splendor. You will be called by a new name that the Lord himself will give you. ¹ 

“Indeed, a time is coming,” says the Lord, ¹  “when I will make a new covenant ²  with the people of Israel and Judah. ³ 

The people of the land will bow down at the entrance of that gate before the Lord on the Sabbaths and on the new moons.

On the day of the new moon he will offer ¹  an unblemished young bull, and six lambs and a ram, all without blemish.

Now at the place where Jesus ¹  was crucified ²  there was a garden, ³  and in the garden ⁴  was a new tomb where no one had yet been buried. ⁵ 

When he speaks of a new covenant, ¹  he makes the first obsolete. Now what is growing obsolete and aging is about to disappear. ² 

and to Jesus, the mediator ¹  of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does. ²
