saying, &#8220;Take home<n id="1" /> great wealth, a lot of cattle,<n id="2" /> silver, gold, bronze, iron, and a lot of<n id="3" /> clothing. Divide up the goods captured from your enemies with your brothers.&#8221;

He was accompanied by ten leaders, one from each of the Israelite tribes, each one a family leader among the Israelite clans.<n id="1" />

Joshua said to all the people, &#8220;Look, this stone will be a witness against you, for it has heard everything the <sc>Lordsc> said to us.<n id="1" /> It will be a witness against you if<n id="2" /> you deny your God.&#8221;

So Jephthah went with the leaders of Gilead. The people made him their leader and commander. Jephthah repeated the terms of the agreement<n id="1" /> before the <sc>Lordsc> in Mizpah.p>
