For the household gods ¹  have spoken wickedness, the soothsayers have seen a lie, and as for the dreamers, they have disclosed emptiness and give comfort in vain. Therefore the people set out like sheep and become scattered because they have no shepherd. ²

Someone asked me, “What do you see?” I replied, “I see a flying scroll thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide.” ¹ 

Then the Lord will go to battle ¹  and fight against those nations, just as he fought battles in ancient days. ² 

The Lord will take possession of ¹  Judah as his portion in the holy land and he will choose Jerusalem once again.

There are also two olive trees beside it, one on the right of the receptacle and the other on the left.” ¹ 

Next I eradicated the three shepherds in one month, ¹  for I ran out of patience with them and, indeed, they detested me as well.

Then I took my staff “Pleasantness” and cut it in two to annul my covenant that I had made with all the people.

Indeed, he will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed in splendor, sitting as king on his throne. Moreover, there will be a priest ¹  with him on his throne and they will see eye to eye on everything.

Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah will become holy in the sight of the Lord who rules over all, so that all who offer sacrifices may come and use some of them to boil their sacrifices in them. On that day there will no longer be a Canaanite ¹  in the house of the Lord who rules over all.

The angelic messenger ¹  who had been speaking with me then returned and woke me, as a person is wakened from sleep.

Ask the Lord for rain in the season of the late spring rains ¹  – the Lord who causes thunderstorms – and he will give everyone showers of rain and green growth in the field.

From him will come the cornerstone, ¹  the wall peg, ²  the battle bow, and every ruler. ³ 

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees spoke up and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk about ¹  on the earth.”
