<t /><p class="bodytext">What shall we say then? &#8211; that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, &#8220;<b><i>How timelyi>b><n id="1" /> <b><i>is the arrivali>b><n id="2" /> <b><i>of those who proclaim the good newsi>b>.&#8221;<n id="3" />

Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full restoration<n id="1" /> bring?p>

If the first portion<n id="1" /> of the dough offered is holy, then the whole batch is holy, and if the root is holy, so too are the branches.<n id="2" />p>

do not boast over the branches. But if you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

Granted!<n id="1" /> They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!

And even they &#8211; if they do not continue in their unbelief &#8211; will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,

so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually we are members who belong to one another.

And we have different gifts<n id="1" /> according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith.

<t /><p class="bodytext">But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves.<n id="1" />

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person&#8217;s foundation,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant<n id="1" /> of the church in Cenchrea,

For the righteousness<n id="1" /> of God is revealed in the gospel<n id="2" /> from faith to faith,<n id="3" /> just as it is written, &#8220;<b><i>The righteous by faith will livei>b>.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

And do you think,<n id="1" /> whoever you are, when you judge<n id="2" /> those who practice such things and yet do them yourself,<n id="3" /> that you will escape God&#8217;s judgment?

But because of your stubbornness<n id="1" /> and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God&#8217;s righteous judgment is revealed!<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">For circumcision<n id="1" /> has its value if you practice the law, but<n id="2" /> if you break the law,<n id="3" /> your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

<p class="bodytext">But if our unrighteousness demonstrates<n id="1" /> the righteousness of God, what shall we say? The God who inflicts wrath is not unrighteous, is he?<n id="2" /> (I am speaking in human terms.)<n id="3" />

For if by my lie the truth of God enhances<n id="1" /> his glory, why am I still actually being judged as a sinner?

He<n id="1" /> did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.
