Jesus replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Destroy<n id="2" /> this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.&#8221;

Just as<n id="1" /> Moses <i>lifted up the serpenti><n id="2" /> <i>in the wildernessi>,<n id="3" /> so must the Son of Man be lifted up,<n id="4" />

God is spirit,<n id="1" /> and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.&#8221;

For in this instance the saying is true,<n id="1" /> &#8216;One sows and another reaps.&#8217;

(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.)<n id="1" />

Now there is<n id="1" /> in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate<n id="2" /> a pool called <i>Bethzathai><n id="3" /> in Aramaic,<n id="4" /> which has five covered walkways.<n id="5" />

Now a man was there who had been disabled for thirty-eight years.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then Jesus<n id="1" /> himself also went up, not openly but in secret.

So the Jewish leaders<n id="1" /> were looking for him at the feast, asking, &#8220;Where is he?&#8221;<n id="2" />

The experts in the law<n id="1" /> and the Pharisees<n id="2" /> brought a woman who had been caught committing adultery. They made her stand in front of them

In the law <i>Moses commanded us to stone to deathi><n id="1" /> such women.<n id="2" /> What then do you say?&#8221;

It is written in your law that <i>the testimony of two men is truei>.<n id="1" />

The slave does not remain in the family<n id="1" /> forever, but the son remains forever.<n id="2" />

(Now the day on which Jesus made the mud<n id="1" /> and caused him to see<n id="2" /> was a Sabbath.)<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">So when he heard that Lazarus<n id="1" /> was sick, he remained in the place where he was for two more days.

<t /><p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> Jesus arrived,<n id="2" /> he found that Lazarus<n id="3" /> had been in the tomb four days already.<n id="4" />

So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary was sitting in the house.<n id="1" />

My Father is honored<n id="1" /> by this, that<n id="2" /> you bear<n id="3" /> much fruit and show that you are<n id="4" /> my disciples.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you; remain<n id="1" /> in my love.

I have told you these things<n id="1" /> so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.
