Then Jesus said to him, &#8220;Go away,<n id="1" /> Satan! For it is written: &#8216;<b><i>You are to worship the Lord your God and servei>b> only <b><i>himi>b>.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="2" />

When<n id="1" /> Jesus heard this he was amazed and said to those who followed him, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="2" /> I have not found such faith in anyone in Israel!

Then Jesus said to the centurion, &#8220;Go; just as you believed, it will be done for you.&#8221; And the servant<n id="1" /> was healed at that hour.p>

Then<n id="1" /> the entire town<n id="2" /> came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.p>

As<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> was having a meal<n id="3" /> in Matthew&#8217;s<n id="4" /> house, many tax collectors<n id="5" /> and sinners came and ate with Jesus and his disciples.

When Jesus entered the ruler&#8217;s house and saw the flute players and the disorderly crowd,

<p class="bodytext">Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them as follows:<n id="1" /> &#8220;Do not go to Gentile regions<n id="2" /> and do not enter any Samaritan town.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in their towns.p>

<p class="bodytext">While they were going away, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: &#8220;What did you go out into the wilderness<n id="1" /> to see? A reed shaken by the wind?<n id="2" />

And so they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, &#8220;A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.&#8221;

Then John&#8217;s<n id="1" /> disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it,<n id="1" /> they followed him on foot from the towns.<n id="2" />

So he said, &#8220;Come.&#8221; Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

<t /><p class="bodytext">When he left there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up a mountain, where he sat down.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Six days later<n id="1" /> Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John the brother of James,<n id="2" /> and led them privately up a high mountain.

Then<n id="1" /> Jesus rebuked<n id="2" /> the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

Then the disciples came<n id="1" /> to Jesus privately and said, &#8220;Why couldn&#8217;t we cast it out?&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, &#8220;The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, &#8220;Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?&#8221;

&#8220;Which ones?&#8221; he asked. Jesus replied, &#8220;<b><i>Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,i>b>
