and said, &#8220;<b><i>This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keepi>b>.&#8221;<n id="1" />

And just as people<n id="1" /> are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment,<n id="2" />

I especially ask you to pray<n id="1" /> that I may be restored to you very soon.p>

For this finds God&#8217;s favor,<n id="1" /> if because of conscience toward God<n id="2" /> someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.

Above all, you do well if you recognize<n id="1" /> this:<n id="2" /> No prophecy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet&#8217;s own imagination,<n id="3" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Dear friend,<n id="1" /> you demonstrate faithfulness<n id="2" /> by whatever you do for the brothers (even though they are strangers).

Then<n id="1" /> he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, &#8220;This is my body<n id="2" /> which is given for you.<n id="3" /> Do this in remembrance of me.&#8221;

All<n id="1" /> who heard him were amazed and were saying, &#8220;Is this not<n id="2" /> the man who in Jerusalem was ravaging<n id="3" /> those who call on this name, and who had come here to bring them as prisoners<n id="4" /> to the chief priests?&#8221;

In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, &#8220;This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work.<n id="1" /> Let them do this<n id="2" /> with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you.

This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:

Jesus<n id="1" /> looked at them and replied, &#8220;This is impossible for mere humans,<n id="2" /> but for God all things are possible.&#8221;

Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.<n id="1" />p>

for this is my blood, the blood<n id="1" /> of the covenant,<n id="2" /> that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
