The lord had compassion on that slave and released him, and forgave him the debt.

But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.<n id="1" />p>

Jesus<n id="1" /> looked at them and replied, &#8220;This is impossible for mere humans,<n id="2" /> but for God all things are possible.&#8221;

He said to them, &#8216;You go into the vineyard too, and I will give you whatever is right.&#8217;

Take what is yours and go. I<n id="1" /> want to give to this last man<n id="2" /> the same as I gave to you.

As he entered Jerusalem the whole city was thrown into an uproar,<n id="1" /> saying, &#8220;Who is this?&#8221;

And the crowds were saying, &#8220;This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth<n id="1" /> in Galilee.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">The same day Sadducees<n id="1" /> (who say there is no resurrection)<n id="2" /> came to him and asked him,<n id="3" />

No one<n id="1" /> was able to answer him a word, and from that day on no one dared to question him any longer.p>

So also you, when you see all these things, know<n id="1" /> that he is near, right at the door.

Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.<n id="1" />p>

Blessed is that slave whom the master finds at work<n id="1" /> when he comes.

But if<n id="1" /> that evil slave should say to himself,<n id="2" /> &#8216;My master is staying away a long time,&#8217;

After<n id="1" /> a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them.

<t /><p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> Jesus had finished saying all these things, he told his disciples,

for this is my blood, the blood<n id="1" /> of the covenant,<n id="2" /> that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

So<n id="1" /> the high priest stood up and said to him, &#8220;Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">As<n id="1" /> they were going out, they found a man from Cyrene named Simon, whom they forced<n id="2" /> to carry his cross.<n id="3" />

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.<n id="1" /> Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

and said, &#8220;Sir, we remember that while that deceiver was still alive he said, &#8216;After three days I will rise again.&#8217;
