For there are some eunuchs who were that way from birth,<n id="1" /> and some who were made eunuchs<n id="2" /> by others,<n id="3" /> and some who became eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this should accept it.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.p>

Or have you not read in the law that the priests in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?

To the one who had said this, Jesus<n id="1" /> replied,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Who is my mother and who are my brothers?&#8221;

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.

These are the ones sown on rocky ground: As soon as they hear the word, they receive it with joy.

But<n id="1" /> they have no root in themselves and do not endure.<n id="2" /> Then, when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they fall away.

If I send them home hungry, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from a great distance.&#8221;

What<n id="1" /> did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy<n id="2" /> clothes?<n id="3" /> Look, those who wear fancy clothes and live in luxury<n id="4" /> are in kings&#8217; courts!<n id="5" />

But as for the seed that landed on good soil, these are the ones who, after hearing<n id="1" /> the word, cling to it<n id="2" /> with an honest and good<n id="3" /> heart, and bear fruit with steadfast endurance.<n id="4" />p>

But he replied<n id="1" /> to them, &#8220;My mother and my brothers are those<n id="2" /> who hear the word of God and do it.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

But I tell you most certainly,<n id="1" /> there are some standing here who will not<n id="2" /> experience<n id="3" /> death before they see the kingdom of God.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Jesus<n id="1" /> also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down<n id="2" /> on everyone else.

You study the scriptures thoroughly<n id="1" /> because you think in them you possess eternal life,<n id="2" /> and it is these same scriptures<n id="3" /> that testify about me,

There are many dwelling places<n id="1" /> in my Father&#8217;s house.<n id="2" /> Otherwise, I would have told you, because<n id="3" /> I am going away to make ready<n id="4" /> a place for you.<n id="5" />

I am praying<n id="1" /> on behalf of them. I am not praying<n id="2" /> on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.<n id="3" />
