the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;When<n id="1" /> an unclean spirit<n id="2" /> goes out of a person,<n id="3" /> it passes through waterless places<n id="4" /> looking for rest but<n id="5" /> does not find it.

And just as Jesus<n id="1" /> was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens<n id="2" /> splitting apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.<n id="3" />

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin&#8221;<n id="1" />

Instead, a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit<n id="1" /> immediately heard about him and came and fell at his feet.

A member of the crowd said to him, &#8220;Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.

So they brought the boy<n id="1" /> to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He<n id="2" /> fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

A<n id="1" /> spirit seizes him, and he suddenly screams;<n id="2" /> it throws him into convulsions<n id="3" /> and causes him to foam at the mouth. It hardly ever leaves him alone, torturing<n id="4" /> him severely.

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the person who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit<n id="1" /> will not be forgiven.<n id="2" />

and a woman was there<n id="1" /> who had been disabled by a spirit<n id="2" /> for eighteen years. She<n id="3" /> was bent over and could not straighten herself up completely.<n id="4" />

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, &#8220;Father, <b><i>into your hands I commit my spirit!i>b>&#8221;<n id="1" /> And after he said this he breathed his last.p>

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> John testified,<n id="2" /> &#8220;I saw the Spirit descending like a dove<n id="3" /> from heaven,<n id="4" /> and it remained on him.<n id="5" />

For the one whom God has sent<n id="1" /> speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly.<n id="2" />

(Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given,<n id="1" /> because Jesus was not yet glorified.)<n id="2" />p>

When<n id="1" /> he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, &#8220;It is completed!&#8221;<n id="2" /> Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.<n id="3" />p>

All<n id="1" /> of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages<n id="2" /> as the Spirit enabled them.<n id="3" />p>

And we are witnesses of these events,<n id="1" /> and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey<n id="2" /> him.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit<n id="1" /> was given through the laying on of the apostles&#8217; hands, offered them money,

saying, &#8220;Give me this power<n id="1" /> too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.&#8221;
