The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, so that when I see<n id="1" /> the blood I will pass over you,<n id="2" /> and this plague<n id="3" /> will not fall on you to destroy you<n id="4" /> when I attack<n id="5" /> the land of Egypt.<n id="6" />p>

<n id="1" /> It<n id="2" /> will be a sign<n id="3" /> for you on your hand and a memorial<n id="4" /> on your forehead,<n id="5" /> so that the law of the <sc>Lordsc> may be<n id="6" /> in your mouth,<n id="7" /> for<n id="8" /> with a mighty hand the <sc>Lordsc> brought you out of Egypt.

&#8220;Tell the Israelites, &#8216;Surely you must keep my Sabbaths,<n id="1" /> for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the <sc>Lordsc> who sanctifies you.<n id="2" />

It is a sign between me and the Israelites forever; for in six days<n id="1" /> the <sc>Lordsc> made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

For all the people have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tempted<n id="1" /> me now these ten times,<n id="2" /> and have not obeyed me,<n id="3" />

As for the censers of these men who sinned at the cost of their lives,<n id="1" /> they must be made<n id="2" /> into hammered sheets for covering the altar, because they presented them before the <sc>Lordsc> and sanctified them. They will become a sign to the Israelites.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Bring Aaron&#8217;s staff back before the testimony to be preserved for a sign to the rebels, so that you may bring their murmurings to an end<n id="1" /> before me, that they will not die.&#8221;<n id="2" />

Or has God<n id="1" /> ever before tried to deliver<n id="2" /> a nation from the middle of another nation, accompanied by judgments,<n id="3" /> signs, wonders, war, strength, power,<n id="4" /> and other very terrifying things like the <sc>Lordsc> your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?

the great judgments<n id="1" /> you saw, the signs and wonders, the strength and power<n id="2" /> by which he<n id="3" /> brought you out &#8211; thus the <sc>Lordsc> your God will do to all the people you fear.

So now, promise me this with an oath sworn in the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s name.<n id="1" /> Because I have shown allegiance to you, show allegiance to my family.<n id="2" /> Give me a solemn pledge<n id="3" />

For the <sc>Lordsc> our God took us and our fathers out of slavery<n id="1" /> in the land of Egypt<n id="2" /> and performed these awesome miracles<n id="3" /> before our very eyes. He continually protected us as we traveled and when we passed through nations.<n id="4" />

Isaiah replied, &#8220;This is your sign from the <sc>Lordsc> confirming that the <sc>Lordsc> will do what he has said. Do you want the shadow to move ahead ten steps or to go back ten steps?&#8221;<n id="1" />

You performed awesome signs<n id="1" /> against Pharaoh, against his servants, and against all the people of his land, for you knew that the Egyptians<n id="2" /> had acted presumptuously<n id="3" /> against them. You made for yourself a name that is celebrated to this day.

I will perform a mighty act among them<n id="1" /> and then send some of those who remain to the nations &#8211; to Tarshish, Pul,<n id="2" /> Lud<n id="3" /> (known for its archers<n id="4" />), Tubal, Javan,<n id="5" /> and to the distant coastlands<n id="6" /> that have not heard about me or seen my splendor. They will tell the nations of my splendor.

Moreover the <sc>Lordsc> says,<n id="1" /> &#8216;I will make something happen to prove that I will punish you in this place. I will do it so that you will know that my threats to bring disaster on you will prove true.<n id="2" />

Then for your part take an iron frying pan<n id="1" /> and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face toward it. It is to be under siege; you are to besiege it. This is a sign<n id="2" /> for the house of Israel.p>
