You may give them as inheritance to your children after you to possess as property. You may enslave them perpetually. However, as for your brothers the Israelites, no man may rule over his brother harshly.<n id="1" />p>

They will stumble over each other as those who flee before a sword, though<n id="1" /> there is no pursuer, and there will be no one to take a stand<n id="2" /> for you before your enemies.

&#8220;Speak to the Israelites and tell them, &#8216;When a man makes a special votive offering<n id="1" /> based on the conversion value of persons to the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;If a man consecrates to the <sc>Lordsc> some of his own landed property, the conversion value must be calculated in accordance with the amount of seed needed to sow it,<n id="1" /> a homer of barley seed being priced at fifty shekels of silver.<n id="2" />

If he does not redeem the field, but sells<n id="1" /> the field to someone else, he may never redeem it.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;Surely no man may consecrate a firstborn that already belongs to the <sc>Lordsc> as a firstborn among the animals; whether it is an ox or a sheep, it belongs to the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="1" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Aaron&#8217;s sons, Nadab and Abihu, each took his fire pan and put fire in it, set incense on it, and presented strange fire<n id="2" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>, which he had not commanded them to do.

I myself will set my face<n id="1" /> against that man and cut him off from the midst of his people,<n id="2" /> because he has given some of his children to Molech and thereby defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;If a man has sexual intercourse with<n id="1" /> his sister, whether the daughter of his father or his mother, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off in the sight of the children of their people.<n id="2" /> He has exposed his sister&#8217;s nakedness; he will bear his punishment for iniquity.<n id="3" />

If a man has sexual intercourse with a menstruating woman and uncovers her nakedness, he has laid bare her fountain of blood and she has exposed the fountain of her blood, so both of them<n id="1" /> must be cut off from the midst of their people.

No man from the descendants of Aaron the priest who has a physical flaw may step forward<n id="1" /> to present the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s gifts; he has a physical flaw, so he must not step forward to present the food of his God.

Say to them, &#8216;Throughout your generations,<n id="1" /> if any man from all your descendants approaches the holy offerings which the Israelites consecrate<n id="2" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> while he is impure,<n id="3" /> that person must be cut off from before me.<n id="4" /> I am the <sc>Lordsc>.

If a man presents a peace offering sacrifice to the <sc>Lordsc> for a special votive offering<n id="1" /> or for a freewill offering from the herd or the flock, it must be flawless to be acceptable;<n id="2" /> it must have no flaw.<n id="3" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;If a man consecrates his house as holy to the <sc>Lordsc>, the priest will establish its conversion value, whether good or bad. Just as the priest establishes its conversion value, thus it will stand.<n id="1" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;Surely anything which a man permanently dedicates to the <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> from all that belongs to him, whether from people, animals, or his landed property, must be neither sold nor redeemed; anything permanently dedicated is most holy to the <sc>Lordsc>.

Aaron is to lay his two hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the Israelites and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins,<n id="1" /> and thus he is to put them<n id="2" /> on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man standing ready.<n id="3" />
