You rely<n id="1" /> on your swords and commit abominable deeds; each of you defiles his neighbor&#8217;s wife. Will you possess the land?&#8217;p>

This is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will turn you into a desolation.

He measured<n id="1" /> the porch<n id="2" /> at 105 feet<n id="3" /> high;<n id="4" /> the gateway went all around to the jamb of the courtyard.

It was made with cherubim and decorative palm trees, with a palm tree between each cherub. Each cherub had two faces:

from the ground to the area above the entrance, cherubim and decorative palm trees were carved on the wall of the outer sanctuary.

Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the temple, all of its service and all that will be done in it.p>

This is what you must do on the seventh day of the month for anyone who sins inadvertently or through ignorance; so you will make atonement for the temple.p>

On that day the prince will provide for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.

He will provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull, an ephah for each ram, and a gallon<n id="1" /> of olive oil for each ephah of grain.<n id="2" />

Thus they will provide the lamb, the grain offering, and the olive oil morning by morning, as a perpetual burnt offering.p>

There was a row of masonry around each of the four courts, and places for boiling offerings were made under the rows all around.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I set an obstacle<n id="1" /> before him, he will die. If you have not warned him, he will die for his sin. The righteous deeds he performed will not be considered, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Therefore this is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Because you are more arrogant<n id="1" /> than the nations around you,<n id="2" /> you have not followed my statutes and have not carried out my regulations. You have not even<n id="3" /> carried out the regulations of the nations around you!p>

<p class="bodytext">He said to me, &#8220;Son of man, do you see what they are doing &#8211; the great abominations that the people<n id="1" /> of Israel are practicing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see greater abominations than these!&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">He said to me, &#8220;Do you see, son of man? Is it a trivial thing that the house of Judah commits these abominations they are practicing here? For they have filled the land with violence and provoked me to anger still further. Look, they are putting the branch to their nose!<n id="1" />

For I, the <sc>Lordsc>, will speak. Whatever word I speak will be accomplished. It will not be delayed any longer. Indeed in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and accomplish it, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.&#8217;&#8221;p>

They will console you when you see their behavior and their deeds, because you will know that it was not without reason that I have done everything which I have done in it, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Yet you say, &#8216;Why should the son not suffer<n id="1" /> for his father&#8217;s iniquity?&#8217; When the son does what is just and right, and observes all my statutes and carries them out, he will surely live.

&#8220;&#8216;But the children<n id="1" /> rebelled against me, did not follow my statutes, did not observe my regulations by carrying them out (the one who obeys<n id="2" /> them will live by them), and desecrated my Sabbaths. I decided to pour out<n id="3" /> my rage on them and fully vent my anger against them in the wilderness.

Suppose I tell the righteous that he will certainly live, but he becomes confident in his righteousness and commits iniquity. None of his righteous deeds will be remembered; because of the iniquity he has committed he will die.
