&#8220;They will go out and observe the corpses of those who rebelled against me, for the maggots that eat them will not die,<n id="1" /> and the fire that consumes them will not die out.<n id="2" /> All people will find the sight abhorrent.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

Hezekiah welcomed<n id="1" /> them and showed them his storehouse with its silver, gold, spices, and high-quality olive oil, as well as his whole armory and everything in his treasuries. Hezekiah showed them everything in his palace and in his whole kingdom.<n id="2" />

<p class="poetry">Look at Zion, the city where we hold religious festivals!p> <p class="poetry">You<n id="1" /> will see Jerusalem,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">a peaceful settlement,p> <p class="poetry">a tent that stays put;<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">its stakes will never be pulled up;p> <p class="poetry">none of its ropes will snap in two.p>

<p class="poetry">Who has ever heard of such a thing?p> <p class="poetry">Who has ever seen this?p> <p class="poetry">Can a country<n id="1" /> be brought forth in one day?p> <p class="poetry">Can a nation be born in a single moment?p> <p class="poetry">Yet as soon as Zion goes into labor she gives birth to sons!p>

I will perform a mighty act among them<n id="1" /> and then send some of those who remain to the nations &#8211; to Tarshish, Pul,<n id="2" /> Lud<n id="3" /> (known for its archers<n id="4" />), Tubal, Javan,<n id="5" /> and to the distant coastlands<n id="6" /> that have not heard about me or seen my splendor. They will tell the nations of my splendor.
