And the <sc>Lordsc> did this<n id="1" /> on the next day;<n id="2" /> all<n id="3" /> the livestock of the Egyptians<n id="4" /> died, but of the Israelites&#8217; livestock not one died.

It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt and will cause boils to break out and fester<n id="1" /> on both people and animals in all the land of Egypt.&#8221;

Tell the whole community of Israel, &#8216;In the tenth day of this month they each<n id="1" /> must take a lamb<n id="2" /> for themselves according to their families<n id="3" /> &#8211; a lamb for each household.<n id="4" />

You must care for it<n id="1" /> until the fourteenth day of this month, and then the whole community<n id="2" /> of Israel will kill it around sundown.<n id="3" />

For seven days<n id="1" /> yeast must not be found in your houses, for whoever eats what is made with yeast &#8211; that person<n id="2" /> will be cut off from the community of Israel, whether a foreigner<n id="3" /> or one born in the land.

At the end of the 430 years, on the very day, all the regiments<n id="1" /> of the <sc>Lordsc> went out of the land of Egypt.

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses and Aaron, &#8220;This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may<n id="2" /> share in eating it.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">So all the Israelites did exactly as the <sc>Lordsc> commanded Moses and Aaron.<n id="1" />

then you must give over<n id="1" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> the first offspring of every womb.<n id="2" /> Every firstling<n id="3" /> of a beast that you have<n id="4" /> &#8211; the males will be the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s.<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a hand-drum in her hand, and all the women went out after her with hand-drums and with dances.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, &#8220;In the evening<n id="1" /> you will know that the <sc>Lordsc> has brought you out of the land of Egypt,

<p class="bodytext">Then Moses said to Aaron, &#8220;Tell the whole community<n id="1" /> of the Israelites, &#8216;Come<n id="2" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>, because he has heard your murmurings.&#8217;&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">As Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> in the cloud,

And<n id="1" /> on the sixth day they gathered twice as much food, two omers<n id="2" /> per person;<n id="3" /> and all the leaders<n id="4" /> of the community<n id="5" /> came and told<n id="6" /> Moses.

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The whole community<n id="2" /> of the Israelites traveled on their journey<n id="3" /> from the Desert of Sin according to the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s instruction, and they pitched camp in Rephidim.<n id="4" /> Now<n id="5" /> there was no water for the people to drink.<n id="6" />

<p class="bodytext">Jethro rejoiced<n id="1" /> because of all the good that the <sc>Lordsc> had done for Israel, whom he had delivered from the hand of Egypt.

If you do this thing, and God so commands you,<n id="1" /> then you will be able<n id="2" /> to endure,<n id="3" /> and all these people<n id="4" /> will be able to go<n id="5" /> home<n id="6" /> satisfied.&#8221;<n id="7" />p>

And now, if you will diligently listen to me<n id="1" /> and keep<n id="2" /> my covenant, then you will be my<n id="3" /> special possession<n id="4" /> out of all the nations, for all the earth is mine,

<p class="bodytext">So Moses came and summoned the elders of Israel. He set before them all these words that the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded him,

and be ready for the third day, for on the third day the <sc>Lordsc> will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
