They made him jealous with other gods, ¹  they enraged him with abhorrent idols. ²

you must do to him what he had intended to do to the accused. In this way you will purge ¹  evil from among you.

The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud that ¹  stood above the door of the tent.
