Our<n id="1" /> ancestors<n id="2" /> received possession of it and brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations that God drove out before our ancestors,<n id="3" /> until the time<n id="4" /> of David.

But Barnabas took<n id="1" /> Saul,<n id="2" /> brought<n id="3" /> him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, that<n id="4" /> the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken out boldly<n id="5" /> in the name of Jesus.

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth,<n id="1" /> that<n id="2" /> God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He<n id="3" /> went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil,<n id="4" /> because God was with him.<n id="5" />

Therefore if God<n id="1" /> gave them the same gift<n id="2" /> as he also gave us after believing<n id="3" /> in the Lord Jesus Christ,<n id="4" /> who was I to hinder<n id="5" /> God?&#8221;

She continued to do this for many days. But Paul became greatly annoyed,<n id="1" /> and turned<n id="2" /> and said to the spirit, &#8220;I command you in the name of Jesus Christ<n id="3" /> to come out of her!&#8221; And it came out of her at once.<n id="4" />

explaining and demonstrating<n id="1" /> that the Christ<n id="2" /> had to suffer and to rise from the dead,<n id="3" /> saying,<n id="4" /> &#8220;This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.&#8221;<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">Now when Silas and Timothy arrived<n id="1" /> from Macedonia,<n id="2" /> Paul became wholly absorbed with proclaiming<n id="3" /> the word, testifying<n id="4" /> to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.<n id="5" />

He had been instructed in<n id="1" /> the way of the Lord, and with great enthusiasm<n id="2" /> he spoke and taught accurately the facts<n id="3" /> about Jesus, although he knew<n id="4" /> only the baptism of John.

Paul said, &#8220;John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him,<n id="1" /> that is, in Jesus.&#8221;

This became known to all who lived in Ephesus,<n id="1" /> both Jews and Greeks; fear came over<n id="2" /> them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was praised.<n id="3" />

But I do not consider my life<n id="1" /> worth anything<n id="2" /> to myself, so that<n id="3" /> I may finish my task<n id="4" /> and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news<n id="5" /> of God&#8217;s grace.p>

By all these things,<n id="1" /> I have shown you that by working in this way we must help<n id="2" /> the weak,<n id="3" /> and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, &#8216;It is more blessed to give than to receive.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

Then Paul replied, &#8220;What are you doing, weeping and breaking<n id="1" /> my heart? For I am ready not only to be tied up,<n id="2" /> but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Some days later, when Felix<n id="1" /> arrived with his wife Drusilla,<n id="2" /> who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him speak<n id="3" /> about faith in Christ Jesus.<n id="4" />

This was<n id="1" /> also to demonstrate<n id="2" /> his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just<n id="3" /> and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus&#8217; faithfulness.<n id="4" />p>

For if, by the transgression of the one man,<n id="1" /> death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!p>

Thanks be<n id="1" /> to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then,<n id="2" /> I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but<n id="3" /> with my flesh I serve<n id="4" /> the law of sin.p>

Who is the one who will condemn? Christ<n id="1" /> is the one who died (and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.

because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord<n id="1" /> and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. I serve<n id="1" /> the gospel of God<n id="2" /> like a priest, so that the Gentiles may become an acceptable offering,<n id="3" /> sanctified by the Holy Spirit.p>
