Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, &#8220;Father, <b><i>into your hands I commit my spirit!i>b>&#8221;<n id="1" /> And after he said this he breathed his last.p>

that<n id="1" /> the Son of Man must be delivered<n id="2" /> into the hands of sinful men,<n id="3" /> and be crucified,<n id="4" /> and on the third day rise again.&#8221;<n id="5" />

<p class="bodytext">So then they tried to seize Jesus,<n id="1" /> but no one laid a hand on him, because his time<n id="2" /> had not yet come.

I give<n id="1" /> them eternal life, and they will never perish;<n id="2" /> no one will snatch<n id="3" /> them from my hand.

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all,<n id="1" /> and no one can snatch<n id="2" /> them from my Father&#8217;s hand.

Because Jesus<n id="1" /> knew that the Father had handed all things over to him,<n id="2" /> and that he had come from God and was going back to God,

When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.<n id="1" />

Then<n id="1" /> Peter<n id="2" /> took hold<n id="3" /> of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man&#8217;s<n id="4" /> feet and ankles were made strong.<n id="5" />

while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs<n id="1" /> and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now many miraculous signs<n id="1" /> and wonders came about among the people through the hands of the apostles. By<n id="2" /> common consent<n id="3" /> they were all meeting together in Solomon&#8217;s Portico.<n id="4" />

He thought his own people<n id="1" /> would understand that God was delivering them<n id="2" /> through him,<n id="3" /> but they did not understand.<n id="4" />

At<n id="1" /> that time<n id="2" /> they made an idol in the form of a calf,<n id="3" /> brought<n id="4" /> a sacrifice to the idol, and began rejoicing<n id="5" /> in the works of their hands.<n id="6" />

<p class="bodytext">Now Simon, when he saw that the Spirit<n id="1" /> was given through the laying on of the apostles&#8217; hands, offered them money,

saying, &#8220;Give me this power<n id="1" /> too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.&#8221;

He gave<n id="1" /> her his hand and helped her get up. Then he called<n id="2" /> the saints and widows and presented her alive.

So Paul stood up,<n id="1" /> gestured<n id="2" /> with his hand and said,p> <p class="bodytext">&#8220;Men of Israel,<n id="3" /> and you Gentiles who fear God,<n id="4" /> listen:

They sent this letter with them:<n id="1" />p> <p class="BlockQuote">From the apostles<n id="2" /> and elders, your brothers,<n id="3" /> to the Gentile brothers and sisters<n id="4" /> in Antioch,<n id="5" /> Syria,<n id="6" /> and Cilicia, greetings!

and when Paul placed<n id="1" /> his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came<n id="2" /> upon them, and they began to speak<n id="3" /> in tongues and to prophesy.<n id="4" />

Some of the crowd concluded<n id="1" /> it was about<n id="2" /> Alexander because the Jews had pushed him to the front.<n id="3" /> Alexander, gesturing<n id="4" /> with his hand, was wanting to make a defense<n id="5" /> before the public assembly.<n id="6" />
