<t /><p class="bodytext">So as you come to him,<n id="1" /> a living stone rejected by men but<n id="2" /> chosen and priceless<n id="3" /> in God&#8217;s sight,

Now it was for this very purpose<n id="1" /> that the gospel was preached to those who are now dead,<n id="2" /> so that though<n id="3" /> they were judged in the flesh<n id="4" /> by human standards<n id="5" /> they may live spiritually<n id="6" /> by God&#8217;s standards.<n id="7" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Yet these men,<n id="1" /> as a result of their dreams,<n id="2" /> defile the flesh, reject authority,<n id="3" /> and insult<n id="4" /> the glorious ones.<n id="5" />

And as he sowed, some seeds<n id="1" /> fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

But the tenants seized his slaves, beat one,<n id="1" /> killed another, and stoned another.

Then he said to his slaves, &#8216;The wedding is ready, but the ones who had been invited were not worthy.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Woe to you, experts in the law<n id="1" /> and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of everything unclean.<n id="2" />

To<n id="1" /> one he gave five talents,<n id="2" /> to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

And as he sowed, some seed<n id="1" /> fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

So you testify that you approve of<n id="1" /> the deeds of your ancestors,<n id="2" /> because they killed the prophets<n id="3" /> and you build their<n id="4" /> tombs!<n id="5" />

For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined,<n id="1" /> but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!&#8221;

So<n id="1" /> when they came to the place that is called &#8220;The Skull,&#8221;<n id="2" /> they crucified<n id="3" /> him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.

Many<n id="1" /> came to him and began to say, &#8220;John<n id="2" /> performed<n id="3" /> no miraculous sign, but everything John said about this man<n id="4" /> was true!&#8221;

So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men who had been crucified<n id="1" /> with Jesus,<n id="2" /> first the one and then the other.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Now Jesus performed<n id="1" /> many other miraculous signs in the presence of the<n id="2" /> disciples, which are not recorded<n id="3" /> in this book.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?&#8221;

(Now this man Judas<n id="1" /> acquired a field with the reward of his unjust deed,<n id="2" /> and falling headfirst<n id="3" /> he burst open in the middle and all his intestines<n id="4" /> gushed out.

This one<n id="1" /> heaven must<n id="2" /> receive until the time all things are restored,<n id="3" /> which God declared<n id="4" /> from times long ago<n id="5" /> through his holy prophets.
