He swore to her,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.&#8221;<n id="2" />

Although it grieved the king deeply,<n id="1" /> he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Then<n id="1" /> he looked up to heaven and said with a sigh, &#8220;<i>Ephphathai>&#8221; (that is, &#8220;Be opened&#8221;).<n id="2" />

And immediately the man&#8217;s<n id="1" /> ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.

He spoke openly about this. So<n id="1" /> Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

When the whole crowd saw him, they were amazed and ran<n id="1" /> at once and greeted him.

Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said, &#8220;I believe; help my unbelief!&#8221;p>

But Jesus said to them, &#8220;He wrote this commandment for you because of your hard hearts.<n id="1" />

But at this statement, the man<n id="1" /> looked sad and went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.<n id="2" />p>

Peter remembered and said to him, &#8220;Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.&#8221;

The one on the roof<n id="1" /> must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house.<n id="2" />

The one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

Then<n id="1" /> if anyone says to you, &#8216;Look, here is the Christ!&#8217;<n id="2" /> or &#8216;Look, there he is!&#8217; do not believe him.
